We stopped by for a bit of late lunch, the sea bass was lovely, very fresh and lovely new potatoes and salad , we only live up the road we will be definitely returning for something else on the menu , good value for money.
What a splendid hostelry this is! My wife and I dined there on consecutive evenings in mid-June and were unable to find anything to our dissatisfaction. The landlord was obviously a man of few words, but once we’d broken the ice he was very hospitable. Other waiting staff were also friendly and help

Cozy Pub, awesome kitchen. The perfect spot for a tremendous Burger, Salad or anything else.
Very friendly staff. We ate in the bar area as restaurant booked out. Had 2 bottles of coke. Haddock and chips wirh mushy peas. Haddock was very greasy and overcooked but edible. Lasagne very nice. It does come with garlic bread and salad but my partner didnt want that so he had chips instead . The
Only 4* simply because we visited specifically for the mussels, and they'd sold out, so we had the squid and the whitebait instead, and they were tasty and very fresh. The service was excellent, even though they were getting very busy as always.
Nice beer garden with a large open-sided marquee (needed as it was very hot that day). Good food and beer at reasonable prices. Great service. Dog friendly - nearly everybody in the garden had a dog
Fabulous Sunday lunch . Lovely atmosphere have been a few games now due to it being dog friendly. The food is always top notch.
