Went bank holiday Monday for early evening meal and as expected was busy and we hadn't booked (There were only two of us) however they were very accommodating and advised us would be roughly 20 min wait for a table. We were in no rush so ordered a drink and we're happy to stand at the bar, after only a few minutes they showed us to a free table. We ordered a starter platter for two and after seeing the next tables food (pizza) we ordered a pizza to share (they are huge!) So much food we didn't finish it all but we were offered a box to take it home in. Food was lovely, portion size generous, service friendly, and good value for money. Would definitely return.
We had a really great meal today, burger was great, Steak n Ale pie spot on and the pizza was our 11 year olds best pizza ever he said. The staff were friendly and attentive, highly recommended.
Been a few times to parties &food excellent it just kept coming out &always hot .Yesterday we both had a hot chicken sandwich with salad &fries excellent value for money good service great beers, was really full afterwards as was a really big sandwich with choice of breads .Looking forward to going for an evening meal when not attending hospital .I can recommend pizzas so big & scrumptious

Went for a meal this evening with my friend, we had 3 courses each it was absolutely to die for couldn't fault it at all, staff were friendly and very attentive. Very cheap but great quality food. Will definitely be coming here again! 10/10! ��
Lovely food, had the best Christmas dinner in a sandwich, and three of us had a different pudding each, all delicious. The service was excellent too, lovely, friendly staff. Nice cosy atmosphere, next to the fire, will definitely be back.
I was pleasantly surprised with the food,surroundings and service. We ordered a platter and fish and chips and we couldn't complain. Food and service was good. We will be returning thankyou

Had a great time in the wireworks yesterday, 1st visit. Staff were great especially callumn( think that's his name) , food was great, and the atmosphere was really nice.
Took our friend there who was visiting from california, who ate lunch AND tea coz she enjoyed it so much.

Whilst my niece was In Huddersfield royal infirmary we nipped in for some food. The pub and staff are clean and smart and welcoming. We did have to wait a fair while for the food to come out but it was great when it did. Would definitely come back when visiting
Nice big pub with its own car park right across the road from the main hospital very handy But disappointed they weren't serving food because the chef's had gone home could have put a sign up before we went in to let you know. Drinks okay Nice atmosphere
Not just another place with microwaved pub food. Lovely environment with actual freshly made ingredients at a high standard. Highly recommend. Also they have massive garden area with screen. 🙌

Delicious food!! So fresh and tasty! At a very decent price. Service was fab and bar staff michelle was helpful with a nice manner very welcoming pub! Can’t believe I haven’t eaten here sooner!

Really delicious food, comfortable environment and really nicely decorated. We felt really welcome when we turned up with a big pram to accommodate, and the food was delicious. Huge portions!

Lovely friendly pub, great atmosphere, music a tad too loud for being able to talk and hear people.
Access wise, one normal depth reasonably wide step which I negotiated with quad sticks. Wheelchair access is round the back of the pub. No designated accessible toilet... But fortunately not needed to check out the toilets yet!
Was there for a book club, lovely atmosphere. Def be back to the bookclub and the pub!
Astonishing food, service, atmosphere and puddings. Went there on the off chance, delightful waitress found us a table and even let us order our fruit crumble (the biggest portion I have ever seen - or eaten!) at the same time as our mains so we didn't miss the 9:00 pm cut off time. Just brilliant.
Helped a dad out with his baby daughter when we needed somewhere to sit down to feed after coming from the hospital next door, this was before opening hours may I add.
We both appreciated the small act of kindness you showed us today, it meant a lot after having one of those mornings where you feel like you can't catch a break.
Just stopped for a quick one on way home.. very nice... pleasant staff.. friendly customers.. sadly couldnt stay long... think its worth the visit
Excellent food great atmosphere attentive staff a very nice place to eat and drink.
Seems an alright pub really. Looked to have a decent selection of bottled craft beers, as well as the usual selection of draft lagers. Can't comment on the food, but coffee seemed fairly good also. I might be tempted to return at some point, purely as it's round the corner from my office
Went too late for the recommended fish and chips. Cheese in the panini a bit tasteless. Nice pint and friendly helpful staff. First visit. Will go earlier next time
