Great location to watch the world go by. Friendly and inviting staff make the experience all the more pleasant. Good menu with food served promptly and piping hot. Splendid selection of beers on tap and a varied range of wines and spirits also available. All moderately priced. Ample parking available.
Wow. Me and my mum came in last night for beef dinner and garlic mushrooms. Absolutely amazing food and that beef gravy was something else! 😉
Fantastic service and food was excellent with good menu choices and fantastic presentation on delivery. Nice warm feel to the pub and some lovely Happy bar and waiting staff. Lots of regulars calling in for some good laughs and a drink or two. Will definitely go back and probably make it a regular basis too. Well done to the owner and staff.
Had a lovely meal at Wappy Spring LindleyMoor Road on Sunday. A huge portion of beautiful roast lamb, mint sauce, massive fluffy roast spuds and mash, cabbage, broccoli and carrots and damn good gravy.
We had 3 starters, I had garlic mushrooms which were really nice, Greg had the fresh vegi soup and Mick had the samosas, both said they really enjoyed them. It came to about £48 which I think was really good value, that was 4 drinks, 4 roast dinners and 3 starters.
Highly recommend you drive past Toby’s and go here instead. Very good value for money and they’re not stingy on the meat!
Attentive staff and a warm friendly atmosphere, plenty of parking and not rushed in the slightest.

Always great food and very good value. Never had a bad meal here. Friendly staff and Landlord. Their pies and Sunday Lunches highly recommended (both my favourites) . Nice you can choose either Small or Regular on many meals as portion sizes will fill the hungriest customer!
What a lovely place,staff so friendly and most of all the food was 10 out of 10. I must say try the bona toffee pie with ice cream OMG out of this world. I had the lamb dinner way too much but so beautiful. My hubby had the home made scampi and chips he said it was lovely. I cant say enough just try for your self :) the pub is ready comfortable and lots of space. So your not closed in. What you see outside is not what you get in side xxx
Found the Wappy Spring a few weeks ago as we were driving looking for a different place to eat.
We cannot rate the food high enough and we have been back a few times since. My wife has never left a clean plate in all the years we have been together very picky on the meat any sign of fat in the meat it is cut and put on one side of the plate. Every time she has left the plate totally clean which confirms how good the food is.
Great food for a good price very friendly and accomodating staff. Will definatly be going again

Amazing Sunday lunch here. The meat melts on your mouth its a proper "home cooked" Sunday lunch and the cheese cake is to die for! We travel from Wakefield to have Sunday lunch here. The only thing to improve it would be smaller roast potatoes (please)
Came for the first time looking for somewhere different to eat and im glad we found this pub. The food was delicious and good portions too. Staff were realy friendly and polite. I will definitely be back again.
Went for some pub grub and based on that rated the place highly. Not wanting to sound a foody snob at all. The food was tasty, way too much for any of us to finish and the staff were very friendly and efficient. Give it a go - it's pretty ok
Love to come to this pub despite it being some distance from us. Usually quiet for us (on a Saturday night when food service is winding down). Can recommend the chocolate fudge cake!
Went for Sunday dinner yesterday, 6 adults 1 child, great service, big portions and nice beer, great price for what we had nothing too much trouble, thank you all.
My husband, my daughter & I went to the Wappy Spring restaurant early evening for a meal. We had an excellent meal. The service was excellent & the atmosphere was also. We will certainly be going there again & I will recommend it to friends & family.
