Very friendly staff and the food was fabulous. We hadnt booked but they managed to find us a table. The best sunday lunch I have eaten in years.
We booked the pub for a private function. The staff were amazing. All our guests commented on how lovely the food was. I would definitely recommend.
We have called here for a Sunday lunch as we have been told by a few people that it's great here.
Well deffo didn't disappoint great food great service staff are very attentive....even got asked if enjoyed it as we were leaving.
We will deffo be coming back.well done to all involved.
Wow this was a awesome little find, this is a nice walk for us to this pub and been 5 times, first time we got a great welcome from the owner great selection of beers and the food was very good indeed but what I loved about the second time she remembered us what we spoke about and what was my tipple � great to hear from the chef everything is made freshly on site no pre packed food and the Sunday dinner is to die for the best (and I mean that) I’ve had same with the sticky toffee pudding .

Service is outstanding, nothing is too much trouble; fantastic selection of lager and beers and the food, absolutely the best I’ve ever had in a pub! Fantastic environment and lovely relaxed atmosphere, we will be back!

We went with family from Australia for Sunday lunch yesterday which we highly recommend. There was a good choice of meats and also vegetarian options if required. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were brilliant. The food was plentiful, very tasty and resonably priced. When we are next back up in Huddersfield we will definately go here again. Thank you to All at The White Swan.
Been all over recently for a good Sunday roast and been disappointed till now �best yet by far . Proper home cooked food , good price and friendly service
Had lunch here with my family today, the food was all fresh and cooked to absolute perfection, it has a lovely atmosphere and the staff are lovely. It was the first visit for us and I can say with absolute certainty that it won't be the last

Found this little pub whilst out for a drive. Had lunch and the food was gorgeous, highly recommended. Staff were very polite and helpful. Will defo be back. �

Cannot recommend any higher, on a recent visit Jerry and Aisha and team extended a very warm welcome, they went above and beyond with their hospitality when we visited on a Saturday evening,so much we returned the next day to experience their Sunday Lunch, it is high up there , the best I have tasted in many years, The meat melts in your mouth as does the mash,roast potatoes and other veggies, the Cauliflower Cheese is to die for, The Cherry Crumble was just right slightly crispy with an amazing crunch and the Custard like velvet in your mouth, all went down a treat. The service and attentiveness is delivered in such a way that you feel like family, respected, loved and cared for, nothing was too much or over the top, just right, always with a smile and a cheery personality, from all members of the team. No blaring music, played at a level you can still hear yourself thinking just plain old conversation with loved ones and friends.
Treat yourself, you deserve it.

Visited Sunday 13 th October, as was staying in the area with work.
Was told that only serving Sunday lunch, which left me disappointed as it is not 1 of my favourite meals
However, I ordered lamb, which came with the usual accompaniments, and it was amazing, the lamb melted in the mouth.

Good local pub, we didn't eat but the pub is clean with a good selection of ales, dog friendly (outside) and good service. There are plenty of seats in the outdoor beer garden which is lovely in good weather.
Quality Sunday roast. Land lord Jerry really polite and cares about the place. Not a rough pub nice staff nice guests food was good very fairly priced. Will return. Well done guys
Delicious Sunday roast. We all really enjoyed it. Cauliflower cheese and stuffing was at no extra cost. Mashed potato also included which is very rare nowadays. Lovely friendly staff. What more can you ask for
First visit, we nipped in for a quick lunchtime sandwich on Sunday 23rd December, it was reasonably busy when we arrived. We were welcomed by a member of staff behind the bar who had a warm smile. We enquired if they had a knight lunch menu and she confirmed yes. We ordered our drinks and were shown to a table, the staff were very attentive. We ordered three hot beef sandwiches with chips and after a short time all sandwiches arrived staff asked if we needed anything extra. But they had covered everything - especially liked the jug of gravy so you could add it yourself- we all three like different options - on chips - definately not on chips, smothered on beef sandwich - or not - the choice was independently ours.
Staff excellent so much so we happily left a tip and will definitely be back soon. Thank you.

Myself and family met up here yesterday after reading a few reviews it sounded ok. I can now qualify as great Sunday lunches. Between us we had turkey and beef meals. The meat was succulent and melt in your mouth. The whole dinner from all 6 of us thought is was very good. The staff were very friendly helpful and smiling. Made a lovely time for us. We will be meeting here again. Thank you.
Food is beautiful, all cooked fresh, amazing pizza's! Came for dinner this afternoon, sat outside in the sunshine, a lovely little garden and sun trap! Staff all lovely and food superb!
Absolutely loved are first visit food was delicious we both enjoyed all we had very reasonable prices too. Definitely recommend them and their delicious food will be calling again sooner rather than later.
Nice local in a little hamlet of outlane near Huddersfield lovely Sunday lunches friendly staff and people there's an outside area and ample car parking we sometimes call there on our way back from scammoden dam.
Had a brilliant Xmas meal here last week. Food was piping hot, well presented and full of rich flavour. Service was conducted at just the right speed we didn't have to wait long for each course with out feeling rushed. 100% high recommend this venue and their food.
