By far my favourite restaurant in Huddersfield, everything is incredible, the food, wine, and service is to die for. I would and often do highly recommend!!!

Three of us dined here on friday, I cannot recommend this restaurant enough � the food was excellent, the service quick efficient and with a smile. The value for money was fantastic.

Really enjoyed the vast majority of the courses, my only tiny critique would be the chicken wings which were cooked beautifully, but for my taste, and I stress my palate, could have done with a little bit more kick of seasoning, but then I love pepper and chilli. It's a poor effort on my part to find fault though, the rest of the menu has more than enough content to satisfy all. The house red was not just adequate in a quaffing manner but surprisingly palatable, it has a sweet honey taste to it and although I don't normally edge towards a sweet wine be it white or red, it was definitely a well chosen house wine.

Always love having meals here and copious amounts of red vino ! all very reasonably priced too which is a bonus and they made my birthday great last year tapas dishes for 14 and all arrived around the same time and were warm ! Great staff too. It's a hidden gem really, very much based on word of mouth.

We came across this lovely little restaurant whilst in Huddersfield. The food was amazing and there was plenty of choice. Sangria was very good too. The staff were friendly and attentive. Thank you, will visit again if in town.
Had a great meal here with my daughter after a Town game. A great selection of tapas with specials being various types of Croquettes. We ordered 8 dishes which ranged from £4 -£7. They were all delicious, particularly the black pudding croquettes. I had the house white wine which was fabulous for the price. Our evening was enhanced when the guitarist turned up and set up playing by the bar. He was great and it really made the evening special. We had already paid the bill by this time, but we lingered with our final drinks so that we could stay and listen. All in all a great experience.
Nice ambience and welcoming with live music. Busy yet managed to get a table for 4 and highchair. The service was great! Very quick in serving the food. Dishes were mostly good, may be a bit underseasoned to our taste. We tried the meatball, chicken chorizo, potato aubergine and fried calamari. The tapas portions were good. The meatball was bit dry and crumbly for us today. Rest were enjoyable.
A lovely tapas restaurant, fast and friendly service with a beautiful interior. I went for food in the early evening, it was quiet but in a nice peaceful way with lovely background music. The food was delicious! I can't wait to go back.
On a random night stay over in Huddersfield. Found this gem online. The food is absolutely fantastic. The service second to none. I had a query on one of the dishes served. This was remedied almost immediately. The front of house team are superb. The team in the kitchen conjure such wonderful tasting food.

Overall a 5 star rating is not good enough. 5+ at least.
Gorgeous food here. My friend and I came for a birthday meal and off the main menu enjoyed the pepas platter (v recommended, delicious variety), chicken skewers (v tender he said), cod (omg that onion marmalade, wow!) and special chili garlic prawn with a couple of glasses of coke. Quite a few fish, vegetarian and meat options to cater for all tastes and very friendly service. Beautifully presented as well, bonus.
I do wonder if some of the negative reviews were perhaps when the restaurant was more busy which can make service and maintaining quality a lot more difficult. So let's be fair to the people running it.
I'd recommend to anyone who hasn't visited before, and to anyone who has whose had a bad experience to give them a second chance (in fairness, you try turning a restaurant full of hungry northerners, we can be a right handful!)

Good place for a tapas lunch. Great value and pleasant service. Slightly lacking in atmosphere but not surprising as we were only 1 of 3 couples dining at hge time. Piped music not the best

Really lovely, came last night for food and first experience. Everything was really good, especially the King prawns and calamari... oh and tiramisu.
I discovered Meson a few years ago when it was in a smaller location nearby and loved it. I went again in November 2023 in its new home - and I love it even more. Essentially a Spanish restaurant with some Mediterranean touches, it has marvelous tapas. Very Spanish, quality ingredients cooked well in simple but delicious ways. Good wine selection. The staff are so friendly. Great value for money. Particularly recommended are the anchoas marinadas, the asadilla (roasted piquillo peppers marinaded in garlic, vinegar, lemon and olive oil) and the calamari. A little bit of Spain in Huddersfield
Newly opened the upstairs today. Lovely new decor, doors adorn the walls in a very qwerky way. Attentive staff. Excellent choice of tapas, lovely wine and good selection of coffees. Will definitely go again!!! 😁😁😁

The restaurant is very nice and welcoming... I have to say that the service was acceptable... The food wasn't great and certainly very far from the typical Spanish flavors.
Great restaurant. Fantastic. Being a chef am always very picky about food and the quality and value for monies spent and how much it cost to make. But can not grumble . Fantastic, great, brilliant place to eat. Staff are nice friendly. You must at some point in your life eat here.

Went in January with the view to using a voucher for a free bottle of wine, we were told it couldn't be used even though it was in date. Food and service we great but the issue over the wine left us feeling disappointed
