Little cafe right next to the beach. Tables and benches to sit outside (if Orkney weather allows). The menu looks unassuming but the scallops were some of the best I ever had. Unpretentious, fresh and well made, great spicy sauce. If ferry times would have allowed I would have gone twice to have the crab sandwich too. They are licensed, get your Orkney brewery for the walk to the old man of Hoy. Fresh scones too, should cover all bases. Service was efficient and friendly, a perfect stop when exploring Hoy.

A lovely cafe on the island of Hoy. Had a delicious scone and a cup of tea, while other family members had flapjacks. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Lovely atmosphere and the family all enjoy the stop there.

Great cafe and it was lovely chatting to the man who lives there. Brilliant dog-friendly area sitting inside a bit of history if it's raining. Lovely area to sit outside when the weather is good too.

Great little place and only cafe for miles. Also, 5 min walk from ferry, plus beach across the road. Lovely welcome, and happy for us to sit until the ferry was due. The owner gave us interesting insights into life on Hoy, such as high school children having to travel to the mainland.

Amazing humble cafe with outstanding views of the hills and Sea. Very kid friendly so much so we stayed for 4 hours after a big bike ride as the kids played and ran around outside and on the beach as we indulged in all Sorts of delicious food including oysters and scallops and fizz which was an unexpected treat! Cakes and soup also delicious. A must do when on Hoy.

Simply put, the hand-dived Scallops and Stornoway Black pudding roll is the finest filled-roll I have ever tasted! Well worth a visit!

Such a beautiful spot in the wild, rugged landscape of Hoy. Run by lovely people. A great selection of local beers, and the biggest, bestest lentil soup I've ever had. With gluten free bread and vegan butter option. And it's open till 6pm. Child and dog friendly.

The Island Hopper roll was absolutely terrific! Fresh, cooked there and then. Great vibe and whole menu - though small - looked superb 👌 choice spot on the North of the Island too, super views and ace brick building. Service top notch too!!
