Lovely Sunday lunch. It's a bit out of the way in so much as you have to drive a few miles up a dead end road as there's no through road. But the better half and myself both enjoyed it. Clean, friendly, reasonable prices. Decent pint. Gets busy by the looks of it but several pub rooms all nicely set out if you can't get in the dining room. It's a bit of a distance for us but I'd happily call back again if we're that way. Cheers.
Lovely ambience, old, well established pub with an open fire, easy parking. I came with a group of colleagues for lunch, which had been pre ordered. Great choices of traditional pub grub, tapas, sandwiches, and lighter options. Barmaid welcoming, great service. The meals arrived a little later than requested, but they were catering for 15 of us. I ordered sausage and mash, which came with vegetables and extra gravy. Good quality, well cooked and tasty. Everyone in the group enjoyed the food, and the staff were very attentive, bringing drinks to the tables. Good choice of desert, lots of ice-cream flavours, I had treacle tart which was really good. A little off the beaten track but worth the detour.
