An impromptu visit in fine weather for a pizza and pint! It’s a lovely setting, smartly designed with great service.
I sat outside with a good beer and fresh pizza on my own (waiting for son at nearby sea scout lake).
It was heartening to see this busy country pub bristling with chat and laughter.
We booked Sunday lunch for a friends birthday and the entire event was excellent. The food was exceptional. The service so attentive. And they brought a sparkler out on a board at the end for the birthday girl without any prompts. Absolutely fantastic!

After a little delay we managed to try their first food service.
We sampled a selection of the small plates on the menu.

My husband and I had a lovely meal yesterday. Booking was easy via the online website and we received a call back to confirm. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and had great service throughout. We were early so sat outside with a drink but were quickly shown to our table. We both had the ultimate S
A warm welcome, a lovely atmosphere, good tasty food and a friendly service.
One of the things we did notice and like, was they gave you time to rest in between courses and we did not feel rushed.

What a lovely gem of a place, beautiful decor, really great food and not out of the way prices and brilliant helpful staff. First time coming and will definitely be back. 5 of us came and everyone enjoyed their food not one single thing we would have changed. Fantastic

I have been here quite a few times now and each time has been sensational. A varied well thought through menu and every dish has fantastic flavours and is cooked to perfection
My wife and I popped in during a dog walk and had a lovely stay. Ended up buying lunch too as it all sounded so tasty! Didn’t disappoint. Great welcome from Adam the new landlord. We’ll definitely be back.

Stopped off on a 30 mile bike ride on a warm Saturday for lunch unfortunately we arrived at 2:50pm and they had stopped serving food. One of the few pubs that still enforces a gap between weekend lunch and dinner. Nice view on the way out.
