We came across this pub when thinking of where to go for Sunday lunch as we couldn’t be bothered with cooking! On arrival it was very inviting with friendly staff. Lovely beer garden where we had a drink before sitting for our lunch. We ordered one lamb and one pork belly, with a selection of sides. The food was amazing! Finally we found a roast where gravy isn’t rationed. It was proper northern gravy! Everything tasted fresh and home made which is rare to find. The combination of flavours were amazing. Service was faultless. Went home very full but very happy.

Such a good idea! A glorious pub plus a menu with a difference & the Foragers have kebabs. A kebab to suit all tastes! There’s always a wonderful welcome & we were beautifully looked after. A fabulous bottle of wine accompanied homemade hummus to begin with, followed by these brilliant flatbreads topped with an assortment of interesting tasty delights. Delicious!

What a lucky find! A few days in Brighton and so glad that The Stirling Arms was the most reasonably priced accommodation. We were not disappointed! The room was beautifully decorated, clean and had a wonderful shower. Everything you could possibly need to make the stay comfortable. The pub is popular and tastefully decorated with a superb choice of meals. Highly recommend.

We were staying in the area and popped in on a rainy Saturday - we were so glad we did. This is a great local pub. Full of character, great range of drinks, really friendly staff. We ended up staying for lunch and the food was fab. So good in fact we booked to come back for Sunday lunch which was also fantastic.

Really splendid lunch at The Stirling- which has survived many re-incarnations over the years. Far Eastern fusion was what was on offer and boy was it good! My friend had a salmon 'poke bowl' - see pic- and I salt n pepper fish goujons. Both were fusion spiced and absolutely delicious! Very comfy and welcoming pub with a snug patio- dog friendly. The word is that The Stirling does a cracking Sunday roast- not sure whether to make a day of it and stay on for the Gin & Jazz session too!!! Nice clean ladies room.

Fun pub in a great location, beer garden is lovely, prices fair and staff friendly. We stayed in the rooms upstairs, clean , nicely decorated and everything you need to stay. I couldn't make the TV come on but that's more probably me than the TV.

Lovely pub inside and great garden out the back of the pub. Food competitively priced, generous portions and great selection of wines, beers etc. Lovely mixture of items on menu; wings, bao buns, tacos, burgers, poke bowls. We cannot wait to come again!!!

Really liked this place and it's our new go to stop when visiting Brighton, great value for money, excellent service, great food and drinks in the bar. The room was spotlessly clean and had everything you need, comfortable bed, powerful hot shower, tea and coffee, free bottled water, well done Stirling Arms :)

Only had drinks and food here so can’t comment on the rooms. The pub is cute and service is okay but not the cheapest. We ordered baby Guinnesses and after they came out looking weird the women at the bar said the had to use cheaper ingredients and it showed unfortunately.

Lovely bright room and quirky room with modern decor. Surprisingly quiet for being above a pub! Lovely comfy beds and great location in Hove, with loads of cafes and bakeries just around the corner for breakfast. Surprisingly reasonable cost for parking too in Norton Road given Brighton's generally expensive parking. Would definitely recommend if you don't mind a bit of a walk into Brighton itself -1.5 miles but all on the flat. Loved it and hope to return.
