The Garden Bar recently hosted our wedding reception and from start to finish we had a wonderful day. Leading up to the wedding Anna-Mari was incredibly helpful by answering any questions that we had and always responded promptly. The venue was also very accommodating to changes that we wished to make and offered ideas that were within our budget.
On the morning of the wedding it was a bit of a rush as we only had 2 hours to set the venue up and we left the majority of the decorating in the hands of the venue. They did not disappoint and when we arrived at 2PM the venue looked beautiful and better than we could have planned.
It was a beautiful, sunny day and the garden worked really well! We opted for a buffet wedding breakfast, which was high quality, and then we had a BBQ in the evening with just a burger option. My friends are still commenting on how good the burgers were!
The staff throughout the day was accommodating and friendly towards friends and family.
There is little criticism (if any) that we could give about the venue and I would recommend the Garden Bar to everybody!!We had the most beautiful day!
I hired the garden bar for my sister's hen do on 9th June and I have to say I was very impressed. Being from London all the organising was done over the phone and over email. Annamari who was dealing with the arrangements always replied straight away and really helped me with any requests I had. On the night the staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. The food was great and lots of it. Would definatly recommend and would definatly hire again. Thanks for making my sister's hen a night to remember.
Great bar, we was on a stag do and stumbled across this place and have never laughed so much with probably the best bar staff you will find anywhere didn't leave until 7.30 after getting there at midday ���
Went there for lunch today with family, due to the fact that this pub was highly recommended to us! We were all pleasantly surprised with the chilled out atmosphere and surroundings. The menu was so packed with yumness that we had difficulty in choosing what to eat! They also have a kids menu section! When we finally decided , the food came out looking amazing and it tasted it too �. The food is all made on site, right down to the Mayo!! This pub Is really lovely, child friendly and dog friendly. The staff were extremely nice and accommodating. I could go on.... But will just say that we will definitely be going back , it is not your average 'pub grub' and I would also like to highly recommended this place to all!!!!

I held my daughters first birthday here as majority of the guests were adults and the staff went above and beyond to make it special for us.
The buffet food was amazing and for what we paid we were surprised at the quantity.
Thank you so very much for helping to make the day extra special! We will be booking all future events with you guys.

We had our post wedding party at The Garden Bar at the beginning of July and hired the main bar and garden area along with an extremely delicious BBQ. We had around 130 guests and the area was perfect for this amount of people. From start to finish, from bar staff to the BBQ, The Garden Bar helped make our party ever so memorable for us and so many other people. The Events Manager Annamari was always very accommodating and quick at getting back to us with any questions we had. We would definitely hire this place again and would like to thank all at The Garden Bar for their help on and before the day �
We hired the Garden Bar for our Wedding reception and had the most amazing day - the atmosphere and decoration is so relaxing and love the vintage decoration the food and service was brilliant and the staff are so lovely and helpful and made everything so easy. The kids loved playing in the Garden too which is secure for them so parents could relax and enjoy the day -Really good value and so easy for guests to get too trains buses and free parking all 2mins away.
Yesterday we came in to have lunch first time the food was really nice they forgot couple of items but we're pretty good at sorting it all out overall I'd have to say excellent would definitely come back.
I've just eaten dinner here. I wish that I could eat here every day but I'd be too big to get through the door. Excellent tuck! Come and find out for yourself.

Had a fantastic roast here today. The guys have done wonders with this pub and have really turned it round. Reasonable prices, great food and lovely staff. Definitely one of my favourite pubs. Keep up the good work.

I love this place. It's been wonderful since the refurb and it's clear that the new owners have put a lot of care and effort in. The atmosphere is friendly and the food is great! Plus there are two gorgeous pub dogs which is always a plus.
Love love love this place, not only do they serve yummy food, they also have gorgeous wine and a garden for the little people to play in! 5, 10, 15 stars! I'm already a regular!

I hosted my charity event at the garden bar on the 15th April and I have to say, it was the best decision I made.
I was meant to of had it on the 6th may but then the kings coronation was announced. Annamarie and Lisa contacted me and helped me find a different date.
The communication they had with me over the months leading up to the event was more than I expected and this made me feel more positive about how the charity event would turn out.
On the day of the event, the staff on duty were so hard working and went above and beyond my expectations. Having great staff like this, really makes a difference on someone’s experience.
I had also ordered different canapé’s for the beginning of my event and once again I was more than impressed. The food throughout the day was so lovely and I heard so many others say the same thing.
A lot of people had come to me, to congratulate me on my hard work but I honestly don’t think it would have been as successful as it was if I didn’t pick the perfect venue so thank you to everyone at the garden bar. You’ve left such a great impression on me.
We had our wedding reception here just a few days ago and we were over the moon with everything the team put together for us. From first enquiry to last orders the experience help and support has been outstanding. The help to decorate the gardens and venue, the amazing vegan food that all our guests said was the best wedding food they had ever had, and the attentive service from the whole team through the day. Honestly we were overwhelmed with just how this lovely pub was transformed to a beautiful wedding venue - we could not recommend The Garden Bar more highly if you want to have simply the most fabulous place to host a wedding or party. Thanks to everyone there for making our most memorable day so special x

We had our wedding reception here! It was amazing. The staff were attentive and were very helpful during the planning process!
I was amazed how it all came together and it is a day I will not forget!

Lovely beer garden 🍺 a great place to relax
A nice, spacious pub with a good range of drinks, friendly staff and a big outdoor area at the back. The decor in the main bar area is very nice, so it's strange that the men's toilets look as though they've been transplanted from a backstreet spit & sawdust pub in the 1950s! Some room for improvement there.
We didn't eat, which is why I'm not giving a rating for the food.
Really upped their game on Sunday Roasts. Really well cooked (not overcooked veg which is usually the case when eating at a pub!) and fantastic service. Well done Garden Bar. Only a 4 for atmosphere as dont really like the big screens but not a showstopper for us - just a bit noisy.
A close friend of mine had a wedding reception held here a few days ago, and it was amazing. The staff were wonderful, food was fab, and the pub itself well looked after. The garden itself is huge and stunning. Genuinely couldn’t fault anything even if I wanted to!
Lovely bar. Friendly staff, some were attentive whilst some were less so (a gentle from another table applied the tactic of going to the bathroom the waving at the bar staff to place orders at his table in the corner - due to COVID must place orders and pay at our tables); I had the table in sight of all staff so potentially had better service as a result. Sports shown here too.
Came for a drink and a light bite, impressed by the single portion of wings for a very reasonable price.
Would come again when I’m back in the area.

Whole area to ourselves and the food was absolutely lovely! Really tasty and fresh ingredients!

Fantastic festive family lunch, food top class, attentive staff and cosy atmosphere, great attention to detail, and nothing is too much trouble, child and dog friendly, even our four legged friend was given a doggy Christmas dinner.
