Big Beach Cafe - Hove - Photo album

Lovely fry up and amazing coffee! Loved all the FBS memorabilia. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Brighton!! 😊
Absolutely amazing location and great playground for kids. Sadly food was very disappointing. We were torn whether to have light lunch or not. When we decided to get a bite we were not happy, the wait between the dishes was so long that my friend had eaten hers before I got mine and hers was cold. I
Decent enough cafe for a coffee (or a much needed pint on a hot day) but quite pricey. Service leaves much to be desired. The inside is cramped and often it's like a scrum trying to get to the counter to get served. Could do with being redesigned.
Great location. Lovely staff. Home made treats. Good coffee. Alcohole. Child friendly (very). Toilets. What's not to like! Great for a light lunch while the kids wear themselves out at the skate park next door. Interesting Fat Boy Slim memorabilia on the walls.
Unsurprisingly very quiet on the Monday lunchtime we were there. Staff were great and the chef even came out to ask what we thought of the vegan burger, which is very tasty. Good portions. Didn't really get the busy party vibe from the place as it was so quiet but plenty of Fat Boy stuff on the wall
Absolute local gem, serving real seaside atmosphere! If you have a dog, you'll get a doggie sausage and your dog will demand to come back here till the end of time - you have been warned!
Very friendly staff and a quick service. They’re serving traditional cafe food but as I’m gluten intolerant and vegetarian there was only a cheese toastie that I could eat. It was really chewy and not very tasty at all but I ate it as I was hungry. They could definitely up their game on the toastie
Working on redevelopment. Have breakfast at 10am every day. And sometimes share with one of owners dog. Which is absolutely fine. She has the best table manners.
Great place for a coffee meet up...kids love the park but under reconstruction currently so not so good
I didn't try the food but bought a drink from inside and sat outdoors. There's plenty of seating outside with lovely surroundings all around. I think it's a well looked after café, worth trying out, in a fantastic location!
Saw a sunset but no bird of prey only a seagull, hence losing a Star. The artwork and atmosphere was groovy, ice cream in a cone was very nice, Vegan Sausage bap was good, kids fish finger was good, beer in plastic cup is never good but them the rules, could of done with a quick spruce but it was e
The best scrambled eggs, bacon butties, sausage sandwiches in Hove, served up & cooked by the lovely happy smiley Sandy. Don’t miss out xx
Cheap and cheerful. Great for a seaside snack and ice cream.
Update: Feb '24 visit. Although there's a lot of regeneration work going on around the cafe for the Hove Beach Park, the cafe is still open! The only entrance is the one facing the lagoon, but they're quiet and very keen to serve you! Good food, friendly staff, cool vibe, super location, fun music,
