The Connaught - Hove - Photo album

Fantastic Sunday lunch. I had the roast pork (below). My wife had the veggie wellington and thoroughly enjoyed. Staff extremely friendly and wonderful service. Would definitely recommend
We had a wonderful meal here on a Thursday night, which turned out to be pie night! The venison pie was amazing and steak and ale was also excellent. Choices of truffle and cheese mash, thick chips or even marmite thick chips which needs further investigation. Great service, and a good pint of Guin
01/01/2024 Been there twice. - Friendly staff. - Pleasant and engaging customer service. - Relaxed and decent crowd - Decent food. - The toilets were clean. There was a draught from the garden side, that couldn't be stopped and the heating wasn't working really well generally. That's why the four s
This is my favourite place to meet friends in this area. Great pub, easy to get to. The food is fantastic and well priced, there's a great range of wines and beers. Clean loos and a really pretty garden with snugs and tables And EVERY time I come the staff are totally lovely and helpful! And PIE THU
Beautiful space and friendly staff. Food and portion sizes were perfect! I had the 3 meats roast and it didn’t disappoint!
Maybe I’ve been unlucky, but I find there are very few Sunday roasts you have in a pub that compare to one you make at home (unless you’re a terrible cook). The roasts at The Connaught, however, are incredible- we had lamb shanks and the meat was melt-in-your-mouth falling off the bone. Plus pigs in
The best Sunday roast we know in Hove. Great selection. All perfectly cooked. Generous portions. Great service. Lovely atmosphere. Overall - superb!
Just had a lovely dinner here. Bangers & mash & a beef burger. The gravy for the B&M was sooooo nice & possibly the nicest chips I’ve eaten! Friendly staff, dog friendly & great background music. A trendy, friendly place with great food - amazing 👍🏻
We were a group of eight plus a dog and they happily put tables together in the bar area (dogs not allowed in the restaurant area) and looked after us very well. Difficult to recommend specific dishes as we all ate different ones which were all enjoyed.
Roast lunches are very popular and with good reason - I recommend the three meats. They have a nice garden out the back for the summer. Maybe a little overpriced.
First visit to The Connaught and found the beer garden to be a lovely sun trap. Not too loud or busy either in bank holiday! The pub is modern and clean but maintains the character of a pub from a bygone era. Drinks ok, couple of lagers, pale ales etc and an ok gin list but not overly exciting. Loo
Fantastic roast beef and even more amazing was the biscoff cheesecake well worth a visit but best to book a table as very popular. Staff made us feel welcome and not rushed. Look forward to visiting again soon😊.
Manager was very accommodating. Bent over backwards to make my stay very enjoyable. My roast was spectacular. I'll definitely be coming back to satiate my craving for meat.
Had a tasty Sunday lunch there, although the gravy could have been a bit stronger in flavour and the bigger chunks of parsnips were slightly under-cooked, however the potatoes a bit over. Great Yorkshire pudding! All in all good food and nice atmosphere. There is a garden at the back with beautiful
Great little back street pub. Didn't try their food, and the Ale choice was a bit limited. But a good ambience and a lovely garden.
