Hove Tandoori is without a doubt the best curry restaurant in Brighton and Hove. The bhajis so crispy and curries explosively fragrant, with melt in the mouth meats, vegetables and rice exalting taste sensations, naan bread body and soul. The service is exquisite, comfort and warmth prevail in the decadent and sensual dining rooms, deliveries smooth and efficient. I indulge in Hove Tandoori curries when my heart needs a spicy caress, to enjoy alone or in the best of company. Special nourishment, a euphoric journey of delight.

I travel from Liverpool once a month down south and I love spicy food! I would recommend hove tandoori for its great customer service and quality food. Also, very relaxing music with a candle too

One of the best, if not the best Indian I have ever been to. It has been and remains my benchmark for the past 13 years.

In the heart of vibrant Hove sits this most delightful restaurant! Authentic high quality dishes served with a side of friendly vibrant Brighton style. This certainly is the jewel in the crown of fine Indian dining with friendly efficient service and it's subtle yet exotic interior offers a perfect dining experience! lose yourself in exotic spices, muted tones and lightly lite Indian sculptures! relax and indulge in a truly authentic delight and you could forget the grey wet Hove pavement just beyond the door.

I’ve used Hove Tandoori mostly for takeouts for over 30 years and it’s always been consistently good. We are really lucky to have such a great Indian family run restaurant on our doorstep. The food is top quality and I’m always surprised how reasonably priced it is. There’s a lot of choice in Brighton & Hove but this always comes Top. 5 Stars all round.

This seems to be a trendy place with the locals. It is dimly lit with candles and atmospheric but when busy is quite noisy. Service is excellent and waiters keep an eye on customers to quickly respond to their needs. I had the chicken chatt starter. Fresh poppadums seem to be complementary as it is given as you sit down. The menu is long so I took the biryani. It was different but a large portion. Disappointed with the vegetable dish. I gave it a 4☆ for service and atmospheric evening. Will just have to try another dish to see people's faith in this romantic setting which is pleasing to the sight. Bill is reasonable with wine and can now confirm 2 poppadums are complementary.

Great food, very wide choice of dishes. It was a party of 10 including 3 vegans, and all were well catered for. We had an amazing variety of dishes, and all of them were so tasty. Cost worked out at around £30 a head including lots of drinks, a starter and mains. Good food and a good night.

The food was amazingly flavoursome, fresh and the spicy dishes were fiery. There were options for everyone, from meat eaters to vegans and a wide range. Only criticism is that they were really stretch when we were there, so it was difficult to get a second round of drinks and so on.

Was recommended to me by a friend and can honestly say this is by far the best Indian food we've had in Brighton. What made our dine in even more better was out waiter Florin. He was very helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back again soon

I ordered for take away. Delicious food! Dhansak and Tarka daal highly recommended. There are many bad Indian food restaurants in Brighton - this is not one of them!

Had a meal here with friends on a Friday evening in January. The restaurant was full but as a result we found ourselves seated on a table right in front of the entrance door. With customers and staff coming and going throughout the 90 minutes we were there and quite a few nudging me when passing this got rather annoying. In addition, whilst the food and service was very good the sound of other customers was quite loud and at times this made it difficult to follow the conversation with my friends. My overall 4* score reflects the great food and service but if it had been less busy and we weren't sitting so close to the door it would have been more enjoyable.

In Hove for 1 night. Gave it a go and all was well. Service speedy and friendly and they altered ingredients for one dish with no questions asked. Decor quite gothy but gave the place a nice feel. Loved all the real candles.
