The chicest fish mongers I have ever seen! This boutique fish monger is Hove's hidden gem. As well as selling wonderfully fresh fish they have a cafe where they serve delicious dishes such as whole smoked mackerel, dressed crab, anchovies etc. We chose the fish platter which is a sample of several of their dishes which included anchovies, a herring roll mop, smoked salmon, prawn cocktail and an oyster. It was delicious, fresh and really well priced at £6! We then shared a whole oak smoked mackerel £4.70. Again, delicious. I would have ordered a prawn cocktail bap (£3) as well but that would have been too greedy and to be honest our order was very satisfying. We shall be back to enjoy the cafe but also to check out their prepped fish. They will prepare fish ready for you to pop into the oven which may include seasoning and butter. This place is a rarity. Their produce is fresh and honestly price. They make buying and eating fish a real pleasure.

We’ve visited twice - both for special occasions. The service is great. The quality and presentation of the dishes is exceptional. It’s great to be able to visit nearly a year apart and have a consistent great experience.

Lovely tasting menu for £95pp. The egg and soldiers was my favourite course. The menu changes frequently but every course was divine. Thanks Duncan et al for a great dining experience.

Not our first visit to The Little Fish Market, and it certainly won't be our last. The food has remained consistently good over the years, with faultless fish cookery, delicately balanced flavours, imaginative ingredient combinations and surprisingly delightful amuse bouches! This evening, the highlights for us were the pan fried cod, cured monkfish, and the diminutive but flavour-packed treacle bread. The only slight disappointment was the peanut butter, chocolate and banana dessert, which was a bit too sweet for my liking and not to my partner's taste, but that is more of a personal preference rather than a failing on the chef's part. The service, also, could have been better, with a bit of indifference and brusqueness at first, but things got better as the evening went on. Don't expect a speedy meal here, and the tasting menu will take a good three hours from start to finish, so as long as you're prepared for that, and want to enjoy delicious seafood and fish, without too many bells and whistles in the form of ambience, this is the place for you.

I came here to celebrate a birthday and we had a fantastic evening. There’s an added excitement to the fact that everyone is experiencing the same dishes at the same time. Playful, unexpected plates are paced throughout the evening - we stayed for about 3.5 hours but it felt more like 1.5! It was great that the chef came out to speak to us too and present some of the dishes. Would definitely recommend it

My third visit and already looking forward to the next one! Duncan is a truly talented chef and his food is always imaginative, beautiful and tastes incredible. Ideally located just off the seafront it will always be my first choice for a cheeky weekend in Brighton. Bravo again LFM, you never disappoint x

I had one of the best meals of my life here. The chef has a genius for combining flavours into something really special. Let me give an example. The appetizers included a seaweed wafer flavoured with miso. On the wafer was ocean trout with a little oyster puree and some coriander. The rest of the meal continued in the same vein. Highly recommended! Came back again in 2023 and had another great meal. I really enjoyed the way the servings highlighted and supported the flavour of the fish. More than ever highly recommended for fish lovers.

The Little Fish market is outstanding. It's without doubt one of the best places to eat in Brighton and if you're a fish lover then it's a must go. Everything we ate was delicious and all the fish was perfectly cooked. The wine flight was so good. The service was first class. I can't wait to go back.

Wow - if you are up for some high end quality fish, served as a diverse and very tasty set menu- then head here. Great taste, great combination of flavors and great service with an excellent waiter. Expect to pay 69£ for a five course tasting menu and if you like add some 48£ for wine pairing. We enjoyed truly the evening. It is small and cosy so expect to Book in advance to get a table

Had a superb meal here. To my mind a restaurant worthy of a Michelin star. Excellent dishes and wine pairings. The Crab dish was a particular high light. Lovely touch of the chef presenting the dishes. We will be back. 😊

Excellent food spread nicely throughtout the evening, if a tad pricey at £140pp with wine pairing, but this is "fine dining". Nice that the chef (owner?) came and said hello before and after our meal and the two service staff were warm and attentive. The main issue is the basic cafe feel to the decor and furniture, absolutely souless and jarringly echoey and cold. Overall good. Could do better.

Great little restaurant - fantastically cooked local fish and great front of house service. Venue was a bit chilly after giving away our coats. It’s focus is on the fish to a point that there is rarely anything other than the lovely fish on a the plate.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at The Little Fish Market! The staff and chef were really friendly and explained each dish in detail. Each of the courses from the tasting menu were fabulous and the flavours were mouth-watering! We can’t wait to come back soon!

We were treated to the skills and flavours of Duncan the head Chef and owner of The Little Fish Market in Hove it was a gastronomic pleasure. Rob, front of house spoilt us and made us feel like we were the only people on the restaurant and guided us through the menu and best wines and treats to accompany each plate. A rare pleasure, thank you!

We had dinner here for my boyfriend's birthday. Is a lovely restaurant, not far from the centre of the city. It's a very cosy place. They offer a set menu (that can vary every month) for £69 without drinks. There is a chance to have also a wine pairing for c.a. £56...and it definitely worths! The waiter was really friendly and he explained very well the wine pairing and all the dishes! We loved it!

Amazing! The food was incredible, so fresh yet rich in the best way. The atmosphere was great only 20 covers so you get the care and attention from front of house (who was also amazing) beautiful ❤️
