Good food, chole bhature is good,South Indian food is good too, decent place well known for veg eaters lovers ,one must go for Indian cuisine ,opportunities houskow west sttaion
Sangeetha was one of my regular places to eat at Abu Dhabi. I came to UK recently and found out this one very near to my hotel. As usual the staff is very good. The food is pretty good and huge quantity. Value for money. Worth.
Some really authentic South Indian food. I have to travel an hour and half to get to this restaurant and it’s worth it.
The best part about this restaurant is that they have FLITTER COFFEE!! And it’s amazing! So if there’s any South Indian who’s in London and what’s to have some really good and reasonable vegetarian South Indian food, you should head to this restaurant.
A comfort food place for a lot of Indians staying in this part of London. The food has never disappointed me (have been to this place multiple times). My only tip is carry cash if you are dinning single, if you are not looking at spending more that £15 for your meal. The cashier charges extra if your spend is less than £15 on your card.
Location is central, ambience is pleasant, service is good, most important part the food has been consistent good. They even do take away food which I opted for some times which has been good. Overall, a nice to place to visit with friends and family.
One of the best South Indian restaurants in London. Every dish is authentic and freshly prepared. I liked the gobi 65, vada, and the South Indian style parothas. The meals are good as well. You get a wide variety of vegetables, sambar, rasam and daal. Really tasty and worth your money 👏
Best place to have South Indian food if you are in Hounslow West. Their taste and quality of dosas, idly, wadas, chole bature everything is just awesome. We just loved this place in our tenure. But you might need to consider advanced table booking as this place becomes crowded on weekends.
Good south indian food with really nice #jain options which are rare to find i London. The staff is super friendly and accommodative as well. Do try their paneer chilly as well.
One of my favourite restaurants when I was in Hounslow. I visited this place often with my family. I can say whenever I missed India I used to go there. Best of south Indian food. Idli, vada, masala dosa, thaali everything was awesome. We even went on tamil new year day and I must say I cudnt ask for more.. festival special thaali with sweet dish and all.. felt like being in India only. Loved this place.
Its like walking straight into a Chennai restaurant !! It's located just outside Hounslow West station. The seating is elegant and non-fussy. The medu wadas and the idlis are straight like dished out from chennai. The Parotha Kurma is a another treat to have. They have a thali which is quite wholesome with chapati raita and three different kinds of rice. After tasting the food, I really double checked if I am indeed in London or Chennai, it was so radical and authentic. The service is good and inviting. Nice place to connect to Tamil cuisine in London !!
Was there for Sunday breakfast. The place has been done up very nicely and is quite inviting yet somehow the staff made it very impersonal and not a great experience. Can't fault the food which is better than most of the other South Indian restaurants in the area.
Would recommend the uttapams which were made just right (crispy and not soggy in the centre). Could consider going again just to see if there is much improvement in the service. Parking is a hassle though so look for something in the side lanes.
Nice pongal, chutneys were bit spicy for my preference. Vada was crispy outside & soft inside. Sambar was delicious. Top it off was ghee podi dosa, very crispy. Overall good experience. Cashier was kind enough to give me directions on the phone.
Sangeethas was a very pleasant surprise. I ordered take away and my husband picked it up. Idlis were better than the ones we get in chennai ! Soft fluffy tasty. The sambar was thick and rich. Excellent quality of whatever we ordered. My parents had chhole bhature and even they were excellent.
Excellent food. Authentic South Indian food. Very friendly staff. Great value for money. Best South Indian food I have tried in London. Highly recommend.
This restaurant is located on the Piccadilly line just a couple of stations before Heathrow, and not the sort of place one would go to unless specifically interested in South Indian Vegetarian cuisine.
We were at Heathrow to see someone off, and we decided to stop here to check it out. Sangeetha is a popular restaurant chain in Chennai, and we were curious to discover if the taste and quality of food was the same at their only outlet in London.
We walked into a half full restaurant around 7Pm on a weekday, and were enveloped by the familiar sights and smells unique to such establishments in India. We found suitable seating arrangements, and got on to ordering a Ghee masala dosa, Channa Battura, and mini idlis with sambar. We also placed a takeaway order for Sambar vada, Masala dosa, and curd rice.
The food arrived shortly, and we devoured it in minutes, and ordered another masala dosa, and channa battura.
The food was as authentic as is normally found in India, with a couple of minor exceptions. The sambar while authentic was slightly sweeter than expected, and the onion chutney has an excess of raw garlic which did give it an abnormal pungency. The coconut chutney had a slippery consistency which can be attributed to a different variety of coconut available in the UK.
It was a satisfying meal, and the service quick and professional. The menu is a vegetarians' dream, and will cater to all palates ranging from mild to very hot and spicy; and all variations in between!
The journey is worth the effort, and the restaurant is conveniently located within a hundred meters from the Hounslow West station.
They have really nice South Indian food. I tried the Masala Dosa and the Medu Vada it was very nice. Unlike some places the Medu vada was just fried and really crispy, melts in your mouth. The chutneys and Sambar were really great as well. Very clean and nice as was the service. The rest rooms and the wash is not really up to standard. The opening hours are now from 1030 am to 1030 pm which makes it a little bit better to suit me personally....Overall, worth going there just for the food I would say.
This is a clean, authentic South Indian restaurant which is very reasonably priced. The food is not greasy at all and is served fresh and piping hot. Service could have been better however. I would recommend the lunchtime tiffin where you get a selection of South Indian foods including a mini dosa. Perfect if but sure what to have. Their indian coffee and carrot halwa is excellent, both included in the tiffin.
Good, authentic TAMILNADU taste, adaiavial, Vadai, idli's are good enough with touch of flavour locked and with reasonable price, you can prefer again and again.
A branch of the famous Sangeetha Restaurant in Chennai, this restaurant serves good authentic Dosa and Idli. A testimony to its quality is that my husband who does not fancy vegetarian fare is pretty much okay with visiting Sangeetha despite it being almost 2 hours away from our house!!We have tried quite a few dosa variants at Sangeetha but were not at all disappointed. In fact I personally quite enjoyed its Onion Rava Masala Dosa. The idlis were hot and soft but I wish I could say the same for vada. The vadas were cold and not crispy as you find it in South India. I wish they improve upon it soon!As far as the service is concerned, the restaurant serves food really fast! Unfortunately, we felt a little too cold inside the restaurant but that's also because the guests kept flowing in and with none attempting to close the door properly.. :-(But all this apart this is easily the best south indian that you can get outside south India. So do give it a try!
Visited this place many times earlier as you can find good south indian food served at reasonable prices and quick service.
It is very conveniently located just outside of tube station.
There is an open kitchen on display and you can see how clean it is.
Bit dissapointed this time as i found the the quality has been degraded of what they were serving earlier.
If you are visiting please carry some cash in your pocket as there is a surcharge if you pay by card.
Awesome place, just loved the food here
And filter coffee post food was too good to be had only one
A must go place if you like south indian food
Ambience 4/5
Service 5/5
Taste 5/5
Open on a Saturday morning, good veg indian food .. just what we were craving for. Some Onion Rava Masala Dosa, some Idli Podi Dosa, Mini Idlis and sambar, buttermilk and some filter coffee .. felt extremely indian today !! Good food, average service. The only complaint being that the hand dryer is the weakest ever. Lol.
Been on several occasions, loved north Indian thali & Dosa
Best indian food you can have in london. I am really love the Rasam. It is really authentic and delicious, a bit spicy. My all time favourite Masala Dosa. We order chole Bhature which is also really has Indian taste. If you’re in Hounslow. You must visit this place and try.
I have been going to Sangeetha on and off for many years. They have maintained their excellent standards in food.
Today I ordered Vegetable Biryani, got served Quick Lunch which was AMAZING. They offered to change it for Vegetable Biryani but I refused. Masala Dosa took time to make so it was fresh and crispy.
Will certainly continue to go.
Very tasty food great costumer service and nice atmosphere. Amazing assortment of veg curries. Loved their Thali and Lunch. Delicious chutneys. And a very crispy tasteful dosa! Kids favourite ☺️
What can I say, the food is cooked amazingly. Mind you Im not Indian and haven't had too many Indian foods in my life. For someone who is trying to cut down on meat I thought I'd try this place out and this place was perfect. The gobi65 to die for and pricing is value u for money.
The staff is attentive and do their best to accommodate us and manage the table space. Soft spoken, but not a bad thing.
There's also a place to wash your hands before eating.
I got the rose milk... First time... Quite interesting.
Was very full and satisfied
Will come back again to try other things.
Food here was absolutely delicious. Cant go wrong with a Masala Dosa. All items on the menu are vegetarian. Service was good but could be improved, had to ask for water and fork. But overall it was very homely atmposhere and food is worth the price.
Authentic Tamil Nadu food... must try the meal..😋.. really enjoyed the lunch..
Perfect restaurant if you crave for South Indian food. They do have options on indo-Chinese cuisine too. It’s a veg restaurant, however, they don’t have the best ambience, nor the best parking options, but their food is definitely mouth watering 🤤
We had Onam Sadhya at Sangeetha and thoroughly loved it. Must try!
My family and I have been frequenting Sangeetha Restaurant in Hounslow for several years now. It has become a cherished tradition for us to enjoy their authentic South Indian cuisine. The restaurant's flavorful dishes, particularly their mouthwatering dosas, continue to win our hearts with each visit. The cozy yet vibrant ambiance sets the perfect backdrop for our gatherings, making it our go-to place for a satisfying meal. With attentive service, a diverse menu catering to vegetarians, and a consistent commitment to excellence, Sangeetha Restaurant remains a favorite culinary destination for us in Hounslow.
Sangeetha vegetarian restaurant is a good place to find delicious South Indian cuisine. The Puri masala is a great choice. The restaurant also serves alcoholic beverages. The service could be better and a bit faster. But all in all it definitely is a great restaurant.
Most of our friends in Richmond & Kingston talked about this place, they said Sangeetha is the best. Well we liked the sambhar but coconut chutney wasn't up to our expectations and dosas and masala was also not as good as Saravanan Bhawan. So if I have to chose a place for dosa, I would prioritise Saravana Bhawan and even madras dosa in Hounslow over Sangeetha. Well perhaps we need to explore more dishes, like Sambhar Vada was superb here
Restaurant located in the main area opposite to the tube station. Tasty and yummy meals and also for affordable price. Every penny is worth it. Very very crowded and the staffs are very friendly:) No remarks, my experience in the restaurant was very good. Will definitely come back and also highly recommended!
One of my favourite restaurant. This is probably the best south Indian restaurant I have been to in recent times. Excellent south Indian food and good service!! I have only come across courteous staff who are willing to accommodate any specific requests. If you want quick service then avoid going there during busier times i.e. Friday Eve to Sunday afternoon. There is enough parking on the roads nearby.
Excellent south indian cuisine served here. The south indian thali is a great choice if it's your first time visit but don't miss out on the sambhar and vadai, or idli or even the rava or ghee podi dosa. All excellent. And wash it all down with a glass of masala chai.
Decent South Indian food. Dosas were ordinary - a little too crispy than the standard ones. But the fillings were very good . Nice chutney , sambar and potato filling
Coffee was ordinary but I loved the steel cup
Please do go in with cash, their card payment min requirement is 20. The owner was very accommodating though
