Fabulous cosy pub with friendly helpful staff and first class food. We visited to celebrate a family birthday, they added our decorations to the table and brought out a cake at the end. The food was delicious, excellent quality and service was perfect. Would highly recommend The Stables to everyone

Loved it here! Did not get to try the food, but I heard the Sunday lunch is great. The building is fantastic and felt like I was in the Lake District! Staff were very nice, and the toilets were very quirky!
A wonderful rustic pub that never disappoints. The food is always sublime and brilliant value for money. The staff are always friendly and attentive regardless of how busy they are. The Sunday lunch is exceptional.

A very rare full 5 STAR review from me on this one, beautiful building with loads of character, super friendly staff and the food was spot on, I never usually order beef but the roast was beef and I thought I'd give it a go and I was not disappointed!!!Really looking forward to going back!
Lovely food. 4 had the hot pot Panini chicken and beef all lots of meat and excellent. 1 had the burger which was homemade and very tasty and I had the prawn Marie rose Panini. Lots of food and really fresh side salad. Am definitely coming back.
Really enjoyed my visit to this place, friendly staff and good service. Variety of ales, beers and wines available. Good selection of food and well presented. Decor is lovely and traditional but did find that the tables were a bit close together, but I suppose that's one of the few draw backs of it
Very busy lively pub, food was great but we had to wait a bit, service got even slower when bigger tables arrived, I had to go back to the bar and queue to get another drink during my meal as the waiting staff were so busy.
This place reminds me of living at home as a kid. The food is good, honest, home cooked food and for what you get, the price is sooo reasonable. Where it feels like everyone is putting their prices up, The Stables is just a solid bet on spending well and leaving with a full belly. Well worth the vis
