just went in for a pitstop, lovely and peaceful location, you can see penshaw monument.spotless clean, really nice staff, very good value considering the prices of other places, just had a drink but clocked the menu boards, amazing value and will be back with the family to check that out

We regularly have Sunday lunch here. Real home made. Nothing fancy, fresh roasted meats, fresh steamed vegetables, proper Yorkshire pudding, real gravy, all served with a smile. Not bad at all on price either.
Sunday lunch is the best ever very very nice.
Bought 4 takeaway Sunday lunches after hearing from other diners that meals were lovely and they were exactly that. Family thoroughly enjoyed meals. They had a good mix of vegetables and the lamb and beef were succulent. Meals were ready at my chosen collection time. Many thanks for great service.
My definite choice for karaoke and a laugh when I actually get a chance to have a night out. Fantastic atmosphere, lovely people and decent pint x
We went for sunday lunch and all cleared our plates the food,all roasts, was delicious. How do they make that gravy.? Its delicious. Apple crumble and brownies were really tasty too. The staff very friendly and welcoming. Very good value for the price😊

Lovely pub and the staff are very nmhelpful and polite. The food is lovely, steak and ale pie and apple crumble went down a treat. Five of us in our party and we all enjoyed it. A great little find. Would definitely return.

Went for Sunday lunch with my partner, I had beef and she had lamb both were very tasty, great selection of veg., extra gravy and the meat was cooked spot on.

Lunch at the Grey Horse. Extraordinary value for money. Huge portions of perfectly cooked food, together with excellent service from very pleasant people. Highly recommended.
Wow.... What a beautiful traditional cosy local pub. Nice friendly place with a really nice warm feel to it.
There's also an Italian restaurant here to and the fillet steak is one the nicest steaks I have ever tasted....
There's always a good crowd here and as well as a great place to drink or eat
