Needed to get out today for the first time after being ill, so headed out to Rivington which has to be the best spot for views and the all important fresh air. Not having been up there for while, we were unsure of where yo head for until I decided on looking for a cafe as high up as possible that would be open in the afternoon. We picked here as the pictures online looked cute. It is! Food offering, is basic in terms of choices, but the quality is there regardless and they serve the nicest coffee (good choice). A bonus is that despite the vagaries of postcode locations, and its rural setting, the postcode listed takes you to the door. A lovely place to sit and appreciate where we live and even more so with the kind hospitality of the owners. Hopefully the daughter will get her own 4x4 soon! Lol!

I absolutely love this little place at the peak of Rivington, its a different world at 8.30am on a Friday morning, doggy heavan for my two dogs, playing and mixing with doggy friends .... Best place to enjoy a brew after a good walk..

Whilst walking up to Rivington Pike on a wet and windy Friday morning (from Horwich direction) we spotted The Snack Shack. It's a great wee place and we received a warm welcome from Dudley and his owner😊🐶 My wife had a Flat White (really really good!) and I had a bag of crisps🫣🤣 It is well worth a visit and had we not been meeting friends later for food we would have eaten more than a bag of crisps🫣🤣... there's lots on offer. Go meet Dudley and support a great, local, business. We will be back!

Great View, we tend to go every time it snows but it's so worth making the effort to go, the kids love sledging, however the road can be a little tricky in winter conditions so a 4x4 is advisable.

Called in during a long bike ride. Was raining quite heavy. Lady serving was really friendly. There was a lot for sale including hot pasties and a range of hot drinks coffees etc. Very reasonably priced, have contactless payment and a few seats with a few. Would thoroughly recommend great if your around Rivington and need a pick me up or snack. Might get busy when good weather weekends etc but definitely in the right location and products and service are exceptional, will be returning when I can great job!!!

Drove up towards the TV mast and found this place on the way. Drove past further up and admired the views. Called here on the way back. I only bought Ice creams that were not too expensive. Hot and cold drinks and other snacks were also available. Glad we weren't walking it would have been quite a Trek.

Perfect position for a break on the way up to Rivington Pike, saves you carrying food and drink up with you. Great coffee, and not forgetting Carrs Pies and Pasties, great to fill a hole and mice and hot on a chilly day

Stumbled on this place while out walking. Great pit stop for a couple of cans of pop! Sat and drank them on benches before continuing on with our walk! Great place for a snack shack!

Front sign declares this as Brew with a view which is certainly true. Located quite elevated on Georges Lane probably midway between the hike up to Rivington Pike & the Two Lads. Outdoor bench seating only but their passing trade comprises walkers, hikers & cyclists etc so everyone's used to the elements. Great location & view variety of hot snacks mainly pies & sandwiches plus cakes & hot drinks available. Friendly & welcoming staff. I had a Carrs pastie & nice coffee very welcoming on chilly late October day. Great place for this & will visit again when next up Rivington or in vicinity of Winter Hill

Nice little cafe. Great location with a beautiful view. The only downside is that it is a little bit pricey.
