I visited Abacus early evening Sunday 25th June with my mother as a treat! We were warmly greeted on entry and given a choice of tables, we opted to sit in the window. The service was friendly and efficient. We both really enjoyed the food with flavours and the temperature being excellent. We both left very contented. We both said we would definitely return again. For me I felt it was on the high side price wise. (My mother disagreed with this) but because of the flavours, portion size and quality it certainly offers a good value treat.

Had a lovely 3 course meal here this evening, the food is on another level compared to take-away, the service was great and staff were friendly, was expecting the 10% service charge as per other reviews but it's only on groups of 5 or more according to the menu.
Wanted something quick and simple before the movie. As always, the staff at abacus were super efficient and the food was a good as always.
Healthy portion with super quick service, I'd highly recommend popping in next time you're looking for something to eat at middlebrook.
My best Oriental restaurant ever, I have been going for nearly 25 years, still the same standard has always, fantastically good.
Royal banquet is one of the best around, its a real shame this place is closing in October I will definitely miss it.

Abacus has been our favourite local restaurant for many years. Delicious (and I'm not just saying this) food served by friendly and courteous servers who are always happy to help. Great value for money and can accommodate even big groups.
I have both eaten in and ordered takeaway. The quality of food is the best around, its restaurant quality Chinese rather than takeaway quality. You pay for the quality. Portion sizes slightly smaller than takeaway Chinese but double the taste so its not an issue. Staff are always friendly and it's a nice atmosphere. Always great to go and watch a film next door at Vue before or after.
