We ordered Sunday roast and each got a trio of turkey, beef and pork. It was a good portion and the flavour was amazing. It was a nice atmosphere! There is free parking behind the building. The coffee came with a home baked chocolate cookie which was very nice.

Just a pit stop. We decided to have lunch. It was wonderful. I wish l had the giant pie but unfortunately l couldn't eat it all to myself. It looked lovely. The waitresses were wonderful, so welcoming.

Visited for lunch on a sunny day. We both chose to eat a mains only, and enjoy a couple of refreshing cool drinks. Delicious food, good service and very pleasant location.

We were a party of 9 out to celebrate a birthday. We were served by Josie and Natalie. We all enjoyed our starters, main and desserts. The staff were attentive but not pushy. Thanks for a lovely meal. We will definitely be back soon.

We went for my birthday. There were 9 of us and from start to finish the staff were very welcoming. The 2 staff who served us were Josey and Natalie and nothing was too much trouble. The food was fantastic I would say the sticky toffee pudding was the best I have ever had.

Had a family get together. 8 adults. We were seated at the quieter end of the restaurant and enjoyed a delicious meal professionally served. We were made to feel welcome and were well looked after. We were unaware of other diners although, as we were leaving, we noticed how busy the staff were.

We have been visiting The Blundell for many years and class ourselves as regulars. If you’ve never visited this country pub, then your missing out! The pub has loads of character as it retains many original features it’s always warm and toasty in winter months and you always feel very relaxed there, due to the ambiance and staff! So here’s goes. Matthew and the team always make guests feel welcome and you are always greeted as you come through the door which much enthusiasm. From the bar staff to the staff that serve food you always feel that nothing is to much trouble. What we absolutely love is because we are regulars, the bar staff know our names and what we drink, which to me is attention to detail! The pub is undergoing significant refurbishment, it has only been closed a week and we missing the service and team already. Can’t wait to return.

My two friends and I visited for Sunday Lunch. The food was outstanding. The menu has been well put together both taste and price wise. Chef's Board (To Share) and the Caramelised Vanilla Cheesecake is a must. Josie and Dean who served our table are excellent. Cant recommend enough.

Fantastic service and food. Lovely lady (didn't get her name 😞) couldn't do enough for us. Friendly and helpful. Food was top notch - tasty, hot, well-presented and value for money. We will definitely be returning. Thank you.

Food is always brilliant, myself my wife and kids have been here a few times and we have always had a good experience. Food is great, staff have always been friendly and helpful, the front half is nice, cosy and comfortable, and the back half is more an area for parents with kids. Good layout, good food and it won't break the bank the prices and very fair.

I took a friend for lunch, it was an amazing place. From the moment we walked in, the staff was friendly and helpful. The food is fabulous. The place is awesome, and yet they are going to redecorate it. I hope it keeps its character and charm. We will be back .... Thank you for a wonderful lunch, Sandra

Amazing! Great service and lovely staff given we booked at short notice, amazing food for the whole family. Only things we could say were not so great was there were slightly too many options on the menu which made us take longer to decide, the Scottish mussels were not cleaned properly leaving them covered in barnacles on the shells but otherwise the food tasted fantastic. Complete compliments to the chef!

Fabulous food in a setting which is full of charm and old English character. If you are looking for an elevated and traditional pub experience then look no further. Inside is an expansive pub setting exuding character with its uneven flagstone floors and many nooks and crannies to explore. There are fireplaces to keep you warm in the winter and a large patio and lawn with plenty of seating for hot summer days. You will feel extremely comfortable in either case. The menu has a lot of choice to keep you coming back for more from hearty, filling very tasty pies to more refined and lighter seafood dishes. We had ham hock and chicken terrine to start followed by sea bass and scallop with pea and courgette risotto. We were given good portions which were well seasoned and delicious. I highly recommend.

The Blundell Arms is a gorgeous, cosy, historic building with an ambience and atmosphere that is perfect for settling in for a long lunch or dinner with friends or family. Move easily from your dining table to the bar, to extend your enjoyment. The menu is varied, with a traditional british theme accompanied by a selection of specials which step up into fine dining, especially with their fish & seafood specials. The wine list has a quality selection to suit all budgets, and is always perfectly served. The range of ales, lagers and spirits covers a wide range, from local, national & international brewers & distilleries. This place is perfect for an intimate romantic date night, a family get-together, a catch up with friends, or even a large party. Booking is recommended, especially at weekends when it becomes popular with those finishing off a fresh walk across the Rivington moor, Walker Fold Woodland Estate or the Horrocks Fold and Smithills walking circuits. Being dog friendly in the bar areas, also encourages plentiful visitors, at the weekends particularly. Far from being a venue of passing trade, this is a pub that is also very popular with locals from neighbouring Horwich and Bolton. There is a weekly quiz and regular specials such as 'fizz friday' and 'steak night' where excellent offers make this a really great value for money, quality place to eat, drink, socialise and feel very much welcomed by the staff team and regular punters. Note: The Blundell Arms is currently closed for a fabulous refurb
