I was utterly enchanted by this whimsical bistro with its warm friendly staff and delightful customers of character enjoying lunch and afternoon tea. Full of shabby chic charm, was shown to a table and a basic laminated menu laid out the options. Definitely on the lighter side of lunch, but to be honest this is perfect. I had soup of the day (butternut squash & something) with a cheese sandwich on the side. The bread was thick and the cheese was a nice slice. No grated muck covered in potatoes starch here!! Random little cup of prawn cocktail crisps completed the wooden board I was served. The blonde had baked potatoes with chilli, with salad on the side. Portions were generous, the food freshly prepared, the correct temperature and genuinely tasty. Aboce average coffee served here if you are just looking for a quality coffee far superior to the bland sludge served up at Costa. The bonus at the end - we went away with two ice cream cornets, jammy dodger flavour and jaffa cake, and it was proper ice cream, not full of chemicals. Change from a twenty :) Dog friendly like many of the businesses in Horwich. Absolutely perfect spot for lunch.

We were driving through town and saw this place when we stopped to grab something to eat, it looked good so we tried it. What a result, the BEST hollandaise sauce I’ve ever tasted, super friendly staff, and great prices… highly recommended.

Had a lovely lunch. I had the ploughman's and it was really nice. Hubby had a beef sandwich which he enjoyed. Coffee was nice. Also has a good selection of ice cream - kids love the choices.

Never been before but would go again if in the area. Lovely cappucino and latte. Toast was nice and thick and extra butter given when I asked

This place seems to improve each visit and the grandkids love it especially the cakes and ice cream. Lovely staff, just needs sprucing up a bit and get away from the 'cheap cafe' impression and it would get 5 stars.

What fantastic holiday clothes as well as accessories, love everything ❤ Karen and Carol are also lovely, very helpful and friendly. Went to a recent fashion show at the URC in Egerton, Bolton, a fantastic event, great evening. A gem of a shop tucked away behind the Cow Shed on Winter Hey Lane, Horwich. If you're going away, somewhere warm, must visit this shop

Complete surprise.. Looks tiny, but lots of room, prettily decorated. Ice cream, paninis, salads, ploughman's etc. Fabulous for a light lunch, super friendly, also dog friendly.

Had a great breakfast. Food was good, service was good. They also provided a full English that was gluten free. They understood what was meant by gluten free which is a rarity. Will go again and will recommend to the Coeliac society to pass onto other members.

Great freshly prepared food, delicious homemade cakes. Tea is served in a proper tea pot with lovely mismatched china cups and saucers. A quaint place with a lovely friendly atmosphere which has become a firm favourite. The staff are lovely and friendly and you never feel rushed.

Hot beef sandwich with onions and mushrooms...divine! Decent portion of salad and coleslaw too. And VERY reasonable compared to other cafes in Horwich. Lovely place, friendly staff and great food.

Lovely place, but on a time limit if you're only having a coffee.
