We went as a group of 12.
The atmosphere is wonderfully warm and friendly. The staff is attentive and professional in a way that family restaurants are.
The food was well prepared and delicious.
As a result we felt at home, had a wonderful and memorable evening and walked away feeling that the restaurant and ambience contributed to our evening out.
We will return, and I have no reservation in wholeheartedly recommending The Sish to anyone that wants a good meal and evening out.
When we fancy Turkish, we use this place often. Takeaway food is always great but the food tastes better (as with most places) when you dine in.
Beautifully presented and a touch a theatricality with certain dishes.
The Baklava I'm told is homemade and tastes absolutely sublime - take it from me, I'm a connoisseur! (well at least I'd like to think I am, ha).
It's a small place but very, very well presented inside. Lovely ambience and the staff are all incredibly friendly as is the owner - it's a family owned business.
Highly recommended.
First visit this evening. Had the mixed kebab this evening. Have to say the meat was really good, even the lamb was pretty tender which is often not the way. I’d like to see a bigger/thicker piece of bread with it and some better quality chips - but I will be back for a second visit.
Oh I nearly forgot - red cabbage, food of champions, really nice to see this.
I chose to visit The Shish based on its excellent reviews and I'm happy to say that they are not wrong. It's a small and very relaxed takeaway restaurant, nicely presented & clean. The young man serving our table was very welcoming & really made our visit enjoyable, he was attentive and served us with a smile. The food portions are very generous and everything was presented wonderfully. We tried four different starters and four different mains and everyone enjoyed the food. I particularly enjoyed the filo pastry Borek and the chicken Beyti. The lager (Efes) was really nice and light too. Highly recommended if you're looking for somewhere to eat that's relaxed and friendly.
Seriously incredible food. Would go back for this again and again. Generous portions so you get good value for your money. Service and food was on the slow side but the waiter was friendly and polite and there’s no doubt on whether the food was worth the wait. Can’t wait to go back!
Always eat here. But not often enough. The welcome is like being a family member. Such a cheerful warm atmosphere. The service is brilliant, the waiter being more like a host rather than someone who just serves great food. Marina was as friendly as
a family member. Like a sister. Chef brilliant, Efes beers brilliant and a Raki to go with the complimentary Baklava. Perfect night with perfect compay.
This place is great. Simple decor but really good fresh well prepared and cooked food. A real gem in Horsham and the best Turkish restaurant in my opinion. The food looks as good as the pictures advertising it and tastes great.
We had an excellent birthday celebration here last night. The staff were great and the food terrific.
They also do takeaways and deliveries.
I very much noticed the noise in there on a Saturday evening. The walls, ceiling and floor are all hard materials and the acoustics are awful. I could hear every person in the room speaking at the same time because of all the echoes.
I recently stumbled upon Shish, this awesome Turkish restaurant that blew me away! The food there is top-notch, bursting with authentic flavors that take you straight to the streets of Istanbul. The owner is super friendly and welcoming, making you feel like part of the family. And let's not forget how spotless the place is.
The food at Shish is seriously next level. The kebabs are juicy and tender, seasoned to perfection. I couldn't get enough of their meze platters, packed with a mouthwatering variety of flavors. And the baklava? Oh boy, it's like a slice of heaven on a plate!
The vibe at Shish is cozy and charming, with traditional Turkish decorations and soothing music. It's the perfect spot for a cozy dinner with friends.
To sum it up, Shish is an absolute Turkish delight! The food is fantastic, the owner is super friendly, and the place is always sparkling clean. If you're a fan of Turkish cuisine or just looking for a unique dining experience, you gotta check out Shish. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!
Good food. Seasoned well and didn’t wait too long (15/20 mins wait). Can be quite pricey so be prepared. Service was a bit disappointing. Didn’t speak with the waiter until the end. Decorations nice but ambience not the greatest. Couldn’t hear music, only people around me.
