Legendary old skool Biker pub with great atmosphere, great beer and food and regular live music with on site overnight camping available in the field and woods behind the large carpark by prior arrangement.. Regular beer festivals and biker meets but also a great pub for families everyone who enjoys the nostalgia of an old fashioned English village pub... This pub has hardly changed since I 1st came back in the early 70 's.. Amazing..

I liked it... The owner is an ex boxer with a great sense of humour... He served us food even though we came after he'd stopped... Had a lovely pork roast dinner... Will definitely be going back next time were passing. Thanks ☺

Great little pub, very friendly, helpful staff. And worth a visit if not for Danny's cooking alone. A beautiful sunday roast was served, and a lovely pint Just with I was there for the bubble and squeak the next day. Highly recommend

Stayed at The dog and duck overnight in our camper through BritStops🚐 Was greeted with a warm welcome, smashing roast dinner and friendly pub dog. Danny even sent us back to the van with enough roast pork for lunch and dinner the next day! Thank you😘

Excellent service and friendly and helpful to my disabled friend. Food was excellent and huge portions!! (You can opt for smaller ones.....same as usual size elsewhere!) Freshly cooked from really fresh ingredients. One of us had liver and bacon, another place and chips and I had a brilliant ploughmans with fresh warm bread. Many thanks.

Saw others having hot meals which looked yummy . Definitely going back to try a home cooked pie. A traditional Country Inn with cask ales and a selection of homemade dishes. The staff are very welcoming and if you like a real cosy pub with lots of character then you really need to make a visit to this one. Great country walks near the pub. Can't wait for summer as the beer garden looks great. 🍻👌🏼🍺👍🏼

Great little pub. Very friendly landlord with a good sense of humour and trying hard to give good service. Drinks were £4 for any good sized wine or pint of draught craft beer! Exceptional. Hand sanitizer on entry. Covid friendly. Plenty of outdoor tables. What more when one is trying to shield as best as you can against covid. Well done to another small business struggling against the odds!

What more could you want? Driven past this pub many, many times over the years without venturing in. We found ourselves looking for somewhere at short notice suitable for a Sunday lunch for 4 that also had to be on a Bus route. . ."Let's try The Dog & Duck", and we're glad we did. Nice welcome from Danny the Guv'nor who's also the Chef, Waiter, Cleaner etc. and is a straight-talking, down-to-earth kinda guy. Very good selection of well-kept Cask Ales at £3.00 a pint!! (I've driven past a few times since and it's still £3.00 a pint). Danny cooks and serves proper pub food, Sunday Roast, Steak & Kidney pie/pud, Liver & Bacon, Chicken & Ham pie etc. The portions are HUGE, so bring a good appetite with you. If you like good ale, proper pub grub, and having a bit of a laugh then The Dog & Duck is where you need to be!! Cheers Danny! see you soon from Steve, Bob, Chris & Penny
