Came here for a birthday meal and enjoyed every moment. The service was exceptional from the initial friendly welcome to our leaving. All staff came across as attentive and happy in their work. The toilets were sparklingly clean. The food was delicious and we loved the birthday belly buster complete with singing by staff. Our waitress, Georgia, was the best.Thank you everyone.

Excellent dining experience. Once inside, the decoration is brilliant, adding to whole experience. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Once the food arrived it was presented well and excellent portion size. Left feeling very full and will definitely be returning if ever in the area again.

The venue is 1 min walk from the Piries Place car park. A warm welcome for our party of 18, and it wasn't too busy. Service was fast and excellent. All food to a high standard and in pleasant surroundings. For this level of dining I thought the pricing was reasonable.

Really nice place, has a really friendly vibe and all the waiters are super nice. We were especially looked after by a waitress called amber. I had the Mexican chicken which was advertised as a bit spicy but it wasn't really, still delicious! We had nachos to share and that portion was massive. If you like large American style portions this is the place for you!

We, as a family of 13, 9 adults and 4 children, had a wonderful evening at this restaurant. As soon you walk in the Western atmosphere is welcoming with C&W music in the background, not too loud, just there.
The staff were 1st class. Friendly and welcoming. The young lady looking after us, Summer, was brilliant even when, unfortunately, there was an issue with one of the meals. She dealt with it and resolved it immediately. No fuss or bother. Full credit to her particularly but all the staff. Thank you for making us

So so lovely inside in full western theme. Friendly service, prompt, and good food.
Kids menu is great, caters for under 5s, under 12s, and a bigger portion, too.
Colouring sheets with activities and pencils. Unlimited drink refills for adults and kids, which is great.
The only thing that could be improved was the kids' meal was small and didn't have many chips. We ordered from the under 12s. There is no way this would have been enough for a 10yr old!
Otherwise, I had a lovely dinner. Would recommend.

What a brilliant place!! Went for mother's Day and it was superb. Food was excellent, service was fantastic and unlike some restaurants we were not rushed or pressurised to eat and go. Special mention to our waitress Nikki who was absolutely brilliant and a credit to this company. She was charming, professional and fun. Well done Nikki!!

Fun venue, ideal for parties as they pull out all the stops for you. Unexpected for me but the restaurant all sang Happy birthday and the cake and candles were a nice touch. All ages, cater for children. Menu is impressive and food exceptionally good.

Nonetheless, for an occasional treat or to enjoy the vibrant ambiance, Smith and Western is definitely a place I would visit again.

Brilliant experience! First time I've been to the new building and it's been done so well. There's loads of atmosphere and the staff are lovely, food tasty and the prices reasonable. My 7 year old whose birthday we went there for said "Can we come here for my next birthday!?"

Delicious food, very big portions and great quality. Loved the restaurant theme and all of the details they incorporated around the place. The only thing I was disappointed about was the TNT explosive marinade on the wings that was not spicy at all, although it’s still not a reason to drop a star. Will definitely come back again.

Just came home from a “meal” at the Tilgate Branch And and what can I say - never again. We have been loyal customers for many years (with minor problems along the way) and have visited this branch a fair few times since it opened but today was just the final straw. We ordered 2 of their most expensive steaks (which we order pretty much every time we go there) - T-bones for £25+ and I jokingly made a point when ordering that it has to be perfect for this price. Ordered it to be cooked medium - received well cooked, barely pink close to the bone and very chewy - sent it back just to received both replacements - one almost “blue” and the other one “rare”. Sent them back again to be cooked more and when brought back my husband had to reject his as it was just too chewy to eat. I had mine and shared with him as was too hungry at that point. The server guy was great and dealt with it promptly and they took one steak off our bill (the one we rejected) but the other one we got charged for (with a 20% off though) though the server (finally!) told us that they admit that the meat was not of a good standard and not defrosted in time (as told by chef)! Never again Smith and Western - you need to reconsider your customer service and quality of food which you however charge premium prices for.

Just left the Tunbridge Wells branch. Food was fine, service was okay. It was so expensive though!! £40 for two bean burgers and a couple of bowls of chips. The burgers were okay, pretty dry, stacked with red onion, and the bun was very dry.
No lunch menu because it was half term (not seen on the website), which is just a way to rip people off. Very unaccommodating when we asked to make a switch on something on the kids menu meaning the food we wanted would have cost £10 per kid (aged 2 & 1.5).
All a bit disappointing and we won’t be returning.

Been here before an enjoyed the meal but today things have definitely deteriorated. I didn't make a fuss so not to spoil my sons birthday. Waited ages to even be shown to a table, despite the place being half empty, then after ordering drinks took 10 mins for waiter to return to take food order then waitress delivered the meal to wrong table, not impressed! Asked waiter for a cowboy hat for my son, it never came until I got up to get it myself. To top it off we ordered the birthday blaster only to see it sit on the side slowly melting for nearly 10 mins before it was brought over. Seemed a lot of young staff happy to be larking and joking around but no real focus on customer service. Then got home to check bill to see charged extra for kids drinks that should have been part of the meal deal. Not impressed someone needs to sort the place out, dont think I'll be returning! Smith and Western sort yourselves out!!

First visit to eat in the restaurant with my family. We had to wait ages for my children's drink refills each time they needed one. The chips in a tiny tin can/cup cost £3.45 total rip off. Children's meal deals for £10.95 each was not worth the money. We'll we tried it but never again..... Sorry very disappointed customers to top it all off my 3 young kids were still hungry....

Stayed in the "Cherokee" room for the night, very clean & comfortable, it was very nice. The staff were all very nice & friendly. Breakfast was included, very good selection of cereals, jams etc & also cooked breakfast as an option.Would recommend for a night stayover �.

This was our first visit and we will be returning, We were told of this place by a friend who goes there to eat on a regular basis, We were very happy with the service, the food was cooked to perfection my hubby had T-bone steak and i had the chicken plus we had some sides and it was all cooked beautiful.

Used to be my favourite restaurant but gone seriously down hill. Terrible experience at Lingfield.
Had a table booked for 8pm wasn't seated until 8.30pm
Starters fine but didn't get mains until 10pm. When we complained about the 45 minutes between started and main.... we where told no you haven't it's been 10 minutes.
3 of our group of 11 didn't touch the food as vile, 1 sent back as fed up of waiting, and 4 of us where given cold food but ate it anyway as so hungry!
When I asked to see the manager at the end she threw us out instead of trying to resolve?! Absolute joke.

We absolutely love Smith’s with its prompt service always delivered with a smile and a “Howdy!” And of course the delicious tantalising food- best ribs from both sides of the pond! We love to kick back with the cold colourful cocktails surrounded by the whimsical and lovingly detailed “Old Western Saloon” style environment creating the perfect cowboy ambience feel. Portions markedly shrunk, service venturing to TGIs without the smile and all in all, a 20minute wait for a bill following a pitiful portion of ribs £17.45 means we are highly likely to ditch this establishment as our birthday dive and find a place that offers the kind of meal Smith&Western did 2/3yrs ago. A real shame for a great place and i suspect there will be many customers making a change now - shrink the food to boost the profits but ultimately it is they who will lose from this, can always find another rib shack!

Absolutely disgusted with Smith and western me and my partner got food poisoning at the box hill branch contacted head office who couldn't have cared less and just stopped replying to us, after searching the internet they have done the same to others who had food poisoning such poor customer service!
