The Black Jug - Horsham - Photo album

Popped in for a vino last Friday with a friend and it was packed. Great atmosphere, lovely staff and pleasant people. Customer base seemed 30s upwards who had been working in London as its close by to the station. Lovely garden, perfect for some chips and a pint.
Definitely a place for lunch. We had 4 starters and chips. Responsibility priced, great taste, good service. Would have had 5*, no parking, fyi park at the leisure centre 6mins walk
Beautiful pub for a Sunday roast. Had the braised lamb shoulder which complemented well with a rosemary gravy and assorted vegetables. The lamb was tender and succulent. It paired well with the red wine which there was quite a few to choose from. There’s also a lovely beer garden outside for the sum
We had a get together with friends one came from Australia, another from Portugal, one from Cardiff, one from Loxwood, and another two from Billingshurst. We enjoyed a lingering lunch, which was splendid and wash down with plenty of lager and wine.
I had a trial for a job there. Amazing experience and before finish my trial the chef offer me a menu with dinner from my choice. It was lovely atmosphere to work.
Sizeable pub with a large outdoor area too. Great roast dinners and desserts. No parking available, but park in the nearby pay-and-display (£1.70 on Sundays).
Great service, nice atmosphere and good food. Very cozy Pub and worth the visit.
One of the nicer pubs in Horsham especially if wanting food. Ideally located for a pre or post visit to the theatre / Capitol. Being located between the train station and town centre, also well positioned as a meeting place for those travelling by rail. For drivers, lots of paid but relatively cheap
Food is good. My daughter who is a coeliac had no problems with the food. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Very nice!
Lovely pub, food is great, and friendly service
Went here for their cider festival. Great atmosphere. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good beers on cask including Harvey's Best and local beer Firebird Parody (as well as a large list of festival ciders). Great place
It isn't always easy to find a dog friendly place to eat which also does a good range of gluten free food. This did both really well. There was also a choice of gluten free and alcohol free beers not just one of each. Staff were friendly and one mistake was rectified and compensated for quickly.
Really enjoyed my dinner here while on a business trip to Horsham. I had the grilled courgette salad and crispy beef with chili sauce as my dinner, and it was plenty. Wonderful old building, staff was very welcoming and friendly. The apple pear cider was excellent. Would definitely recommend eating
A difficult comment. I'd travelled down from Peterborough by train to meet with my sister, nephew and his wife to deliver a wedding present. This was the second stop in our trip around Horsham. They served cask ale, I wouldn't have gone through the door if not, which was of good quality and I enjoye
The tandoori halloumi burger is to die for. I’ve had it about 10 times. One week it was off I nearly cried. Glad it’s back! Great beer selection too
