We were out walking having a wonderful walk and made this pub our destination. We set off on a 10 mile round trip on foot through what can only be described as something out of lord of the rings as the hobbits left the shire! Blisteringly hot day and we we’re delighted when we made it the Boars 🐗 Head. We were greeted with a warm welcome and the food was top quality. We sat on the terrace looking across the Sussex countryside. It’s a humble inn so don’t expect the world but the food was amazing and the service was quick and warm. We’d definitely go back.
Went for a family birthday lunch on Sunday. Had the pork belly roast, as did some other attendees. Other dishes ordered were the roast beef and burgers. All the roasts came out looking well presented with a good variety of items. For anyone with eyes bigger than their belly, it's an ambitious meal to try and finish. Not one person had a clear plate, but it tasted so good ! Would recommend going for the roast alone. No room for puddings 🤣
Lovely pub not too far away from Horsham overlooking some lovely greenery. The staff were super friendly and there’s a great selection of food for lunch. Had the seafood sharing board which was delicious and was a lovely size between 2 for lunch with a drink each! The beer garden is beautiful and so is the interior!

As it gets fully booked quickly hence I got more intruiged to dine in.
Staff were really friendly and accommodating, they certainly know their menu.
The view of at the outdoor seating feels like you were in Italy as it overlooks the lush greenery fields. We have spotted couple of deers around.
Food was amazing! Mouthwatering dishes especially the pork belly!
They have recently changed the menu which doesn’t offer the famous scotch egg anymore. However I heard rumors that they will bring it back. The ice cream are perfect desserts too. Choco and strawberry flavor 👌

The pub has a lovely atmosphere very comfortable surroundings, service was excellent.
We had the sharing camembert and calamari for starters. Excellent.
The main course of which we all had something different were superb.
Would highly recommend. Looking forward to visiting again soon .
We visited today for lunch. The food was incredible, so fresh and flavoursome. The service was great, there was a delay with the food, it was extremely busy, but the team kept us well informed. We’ve lived in Southwater most of our lives and this is the first time we’ve visited for years, but it certainly won’t be the last. Great value for money and the wine was great!! Can throughly recommend the prawn and crab linguine, my sister had the pie and mash which was insane! We also shared 3 starters which were delicious!
Fine pub grub, lovely outside seating with a view, nice interior design.
This pubs decor is a real blend of modern and traditional, the old flagstone floor a you enter the pub is original and very impressive.
I had a seafood board which was absolutely fantastic and a Pie and mash which ticked all my boxes.
Would definitely recommend a meal out here, we took our parents for their anniversary and they loved it.
Had an amazing meal here this evening with friends. The food was incredible. All fresh and home made and tasted as great as it looked! All the staff were so friendly and attentive to us all evening and couldn’t have been more welcoming. Knocks the local competition out of the water by far. Will certainly be back very very soon.
Loved it here. Went for dinner midweek, wasn’t too busy , service great, food very good! Had the fish and chips and brownie. I loved the chairs in the restaurant, which sounds so odd to review, but they were comfortable and not classic wooden chairs. Already can’t wait to go back, and just noticed it’s dog friendly too!
