We had a lovely meal at the Little Monk on Friday, in the snow and ice it was so cosy inside! We had a mixed starter, pad Thai and beef massaman. Really tasty, hot and fresh, the massaman felt authentic, full of whole spices. Then we finished with mango sticky rice to share, lovely! I will say I think the Fritz Kola advertised was just post-mix cola, not a big deal though. Really good Thai food at a reasonable price, and lovely service. Thanks Little Monk! 😊
I visited twice recently, once for a few beers with a friend, the other for date night with my wife. On both occasions, a Tuesday and a Saturday, the place was full, the atmosphere relaxed and pleasant, and the beers excellent and reasonably priced. A wide range of (I think) German beers on tap and in bottles. The food (again German vines) included lots of meat heavy dishes which were flavourful and satisfying. There were also vegetarian options that looked (nearly) as good to this carnivore. I will be back here time and again. Highly recommended.
We came here twice this week with our in-laws and loved it! Beer selection is fab of course but they did well on recommending something for every palette and there is a great low alcohol range too! On our second visit we tried the food and really enjoy the bratwurst and pitmaster plates. Great portions. I recommend the beans as a side! The game selection is great too (ask the staff for the secret stash if there isn't anything out on display you like - they keep some back to avoid kiddies breaking them!). Lovely atmosphere both Sunday and Wednesday evening. We'll be back!
Fantastic staff and lovely food. The selection of drinks are great and the servers are so friendly and fun (definitely take them up on their recommendations!) We had the Bratwurst and Pit Master dishes and the portion sizes are large! Great value for money and super tasty. Highly recommend
Such a great place to get a flavorful Belgian, Dutch, or German beer. My husband and I come here often and always love the ever-changing tap and the food menu is also great. They have great vegan options- we get the oyster mushroom burger or the tofu schnitzel and are never disappointed.
We had a lovely lunch. Great range of beers and really enjoyed our food. Also great to see food allergies covered with nice alternatives. Keep up the awesome work, can't wait to return 👍

Our favourite place in Leeds. It's inviting, comfortable, and exciting to try the vast amount of different beers on offer, with every beer described by flavour so you have a good idea of what you're getting. Staff are excellent, fun to be around and very knowledgable, always able to recommend a perfect beer depending on what mood you're in. We've been going regularly for nearly a year now, and have enjoyed every second. Highly recommend, this place is a hidden gem.

Fab place! We popped in for lunch on our way home to Teesside and loved it so much we decided to book into a local hotel for the night and come back in the evening for drinks! Lovely staff, great atmosphere. The food is unreal and the beer selection is next level. Thanks for a great evening and we will be back soon!
Nice place with a good selection of drinks, aswell as a fridge full of bottled beers. We went in on a Thursday evening, for anyone that might go at that same time, try book a table in advance. A good 3/4 of the tables were reserved for the quiz that they were doing that evening. There's a couple tables upstairs, but it looks like there could be a few more tables fitted into the space.
The Staff and owners are very friendly and accommodating. The food (I had the veggie platter) was beautiful! The selection of beers is really really good. Authentic Belgian/German/Dutch food and beer.
My only gripe is the location; for me a taxi is too expensive and there’s no direct public transport… if I drive I can’t enjoy the beer as much 🤣

Awesome. Absolutely loved it. A clear passion for beer - and expertise. The food is great. The pretzels, savoury and sweet are particularly awesome. Great staff and fresh food.
Awesome select of Belgian beers and fantastic food which caters for vegetarians, vegans and Gluten Free (we're hard to please!) Beer's served in their authentic, branded glasses (as they should be) - owner is incredibly knowledgable and took the time to talk us through his recommendations. We'll definitely be back for more! Only bit of feedback would be to have a larger selection of non-beer drinks, as although there are wines available the range isn't huge (but totally understandable - a Belgian beer bar focusing predominantly on Belgian beers!) Cheers again.
Food and atmosphere are good. Service is excellent from really knowledgeable guys who really know their stuff and are willing to chat and help you find something you like. Beer selection is fantastic. A real gem at the heart of Horsforth.
We’ve visited The Little Monk quite a few times now and this is the place to go for anyone who loves their continental beers. They really do know their stuff and the choices are endless. The food is also really good! We tried the Kreuzberg kebab which I can definitely recommend. Really fresh and came with 4 different sauces. I’ll be back again very soon!
Highly recommended, Really good selection of beers, some of them hard to find elsewhere, and good quality food and chips. The Ox cheek in the photo was delicious, maybe a bit small for the price but is worth trying. Also the Italian espresso coffee has been surprisingly good.
