Thought I would try this chippy after hearing good reports about it and I have to say it was better than expected. Large portion of well cooked crispy battered fish and plenty of chips, peas and curry sauce were very tasty. Will be going back very soon for more.
Really good chippy, better opening times than most too and the staff are always friendly. :)
We have moved here from London in early August and have been to Cove four times already. The fish is simply delicious, large and beautifully made every time and the chips are very generously heaped on. We love it. Prices went up October 1st for obvious reasons but it's absolutely still worth it and the quality means that we don't care, we will support Cove going forwards in return for great food. Staff are all very professional and courteous as well.
My sister in law uses the Cove regularly and as had never been, brought us 2 Haddock ,1 chips and large mushy peas. What a delight, best Haddock I have ever had. Chips , not usual my thing, were lovely, tasty and crisp. Def give this thec5 stars as she said the staff are lovely to.
Also good to support a local chippy who always provide great fish and chips plus appreciate your business.
The fish and chips were excellent. Perfectly cooked fillets, light and crispy batter and a hefty portion of chips. I highly recommend getting the curry sauce on the side. Incredible flavours!

Absolutely lovely fish and chips! They also do a poached fish which is perfect when you're wanting something a little healthier and tastes delightful! Highly recommend!
Good quality fish. Better than average. Crispy batter and not too oily. Upping my rating to 5 stars, because they have maintained a high standard with every order I have had. Never anything wrong or improperly cooked.
Nice fish and chips! moreover the owner and his little side kick serving are just the salt of the earth. Get to The Cove, get yourself some nice greasy snap and go give your family a good feed!

Cooked as you order. Cooked as you request. Always with smile. Good choices. Clean and seat's while you wait. What's not to like. Fish is great. Nice kids menu Nd an OAP option. I will be back.
Great chippy. Everything is always so fresh, never sat under lights. Staff are always very pleasent and the prices are fair.

Would recommend, they also do a great kids fish and chips that comes in a nice box.
Friendly, courteous staff. Delicious fish, chips, battered sausage, curry sauce and bread cake. Personally I would have liked more butter mine. Very clean. Few tables and chairs which we sat and enjoyed ours at. Chip seasoning is yum! Will definitely be back.
Had the lunch time fish and chip special, portion size was really good and only £5.45. would highly recommend one of the best fish and chips I've had
