Quirky decor with original vault still in place from when it was NatWest previously. Food didn’t blow me away, but that was a while ago when it first opened. Very good cocktails though!

We have been going to the bank since it opened, it’s local to us so is handy for both lunches and evening meals. The Sunday lunch is by far the best we have had in any restaurant, home cooked and always very tasty. The service is excellent and the owners are always keen to make sure that you are happy. It’s so nice not to have another chain restaurant/bar in the area as there are far too many outlets offering the same mass produced food. I had the fish and chips recently and it’s was amazing. The bar is well stocked with both draft and bottled beers along with a good wine list. So if you are looking for a passing drink, fantastic meal or a venue for a special get together then this is your place!

Last minute decision to go out for Sunday lunch with my wife, stepdaughter, her husband and 6 month old baby. We were made to feel very welcome, very good service, didn't have to wait long for anything. My wife had roast lamb, and she said it was really nice, and plenty of it My stepdaughter and I had the roast pork belly and this was also very nice (good crispy crackling as well) plenty of vegetables as well. Good selection of starters, although they had run out of scotch egg, which worked out well as I couldn't decide between that and the whitebait (which was excellent) And for dessert - I reccomend the cheesecake - proper home made as well ! Also, as an added bonus, they had now got Orchard Pig cider on draught - much better than the very sugary Magners that they used to have. Bill and Lorraine are excellent hosts, and their bar staff are very good too ! Must come here more often !

Bill has a hands on positive position at his restaurant. A real family affair. It's spotless and the food is very good. Always friendly. Bill does a excellent job as front of house. A little gem in Elm Park

Went there last night (21st July) for a meal with my fiancee. Excellent choice on the specials board - loads of fresh fish on the menu. I had the Whitebait starter - very generous helping, my fiancée had the bruscetta, again a very generous helping and both tasted really good. I had the Thai yellow prawn curry for main, my fiancee had the peri peri chicken, again, very generous portions and very well cooked. Too full for dessert, so we had some cocktails. The vibe in there was so good that we stayed there until closing time at the bar. The waiters and waitresses are young and very friendly, not just serving and going, but will talk to you as well. This restaurant hasn't been here long, but it is our favourite in the Hornchurch/Elm Park area. (And there are loads to choose from) The specials board is changed very regularly, so you can never get bored with the menu. I've noticed some recent bad reviews on here, and I can honestly say that they have never even visited this place at all ! Pay no attention to them, look at the reviews from before then to make your mind up - you won't be disappointed.

I go to the bank quite a lot. It’s a family run bar and they are all very welcoming and friendly. The food is delicious, the Sunday roast is one of the best around. So lucky to have this place right on the doorstep

Visited this restaurant on 6th January for a joint 70,75th birthday treat. Food was excellent, service was good, empty plates etc were removed discretely. There were several other tables also having birthday celebrations so the place is popular.
