Stayed 4 nights. Didn't take breakfast. We were warned about Friday live group.
All good except on day the room was not serviced. Had to find a manager and get towels, tissues etc. Apart from that all good.

The service at this pub is always efficient even when busy, which is exactly what one wants. The beer is kept well and always offers a variety of brands. The 'pub food' is just that, thereby fitting the bill perfectly for a casual and very reasonably priced Sunday lunch.
Hired the function room. Matt dealt with the booking and was fantastic, Kyle was there on the night and anything I asked for he did. Bar staff were amazing. Great venue, great staff. The only thing that wasn't so good was the temperature of the function room as it was far too hot. Thank you fo
We had a buffet for guests who had attended my mum's funeral. Vicki was very helpful when we booked and on the day. Kyle, Carli and Candi were also very great. The food was good and we felt we had received very good service. One of our guests was taken ill and the staff were great at giving support
We were travelling some distance and on impulse decided to book a hostelry on the way home, this was our choice looking at the great value of the menu
We were acknowledged on arrival, shown to our table by the excellent Matt, who'd also been very good on the phone call.

We had a family party in the function room at The Railway for my Mum's 99th birthday. The food was lovely and Matt and his team did a great job for us.
Food was okay, wasn't a very child friendly place as kids menu was small, was very flexible when I asked to borrow a pen and some paper for my daughter to draw on while we waited for food especially given despite being very quiet we waited nearly an hour for our dinner to arrive. Great pub, but it gets very hot on warm days. Would be great to have some air conditioning or fans.
Fantastic venue, I had my pet llama’s wake at the railway, Matt really did help me with the process of booking the wake even went to the lengths of organising some flowers in the shape of a llama.
Ok for a quick drink, sat outside, taking advantage of the rare English heat!

Food was excellent staff were very helpful a mile of difference compared with the Optimist. The Railway staff are professionals and the food quality was excellent.

Had an amazing meal here. The food was delicious and the service was great. They had a big variety of options and everyone really enjoyed their food. Thank you for a lovely lunch.
My husband and I had a tasty meal here yesterday We had a fix price meal very reasonable before 5pm was very good value and tasted great the staff were friendly it was lovely and quite pub where you can enjoy your meal and chat late afternoon A great difference from the very noisy pubs and constant
Went here for the first time in around 6 years yesterday. Kyle and his staff were excellent, very friendly and gave a great service. I’ll be back soon.
