My aunt and her husband are a regular here and brought me during a trip to the UK. The food was oh so delicious! True authentic Thai food. We tried a couple of items on the menu that were recommended by the friendly staff and nothing was disappointing. Also, the restaurant was clean and the staff were warm and hospitable.

This a lovely, traditional Thai restaurant, second visit and we are just as happy as the first (thought we best try twice to confirm). I would recommend looking at the menu before hand as there is a huge choice, but every dish has been cooked with plenty of taste and importantly arrived hot and stay hot at the table. The restaurant has a lovely homely feel and the staff are as cute as pie. It is fairly priced and the service is efficient. Overall a great acquisition to Hornchurch and a definitely recommended spot to visit!
Lovely local restaurant, I have visited many times over the last few years and the food is always SO tasty, fresh and filling and really great quality. The prices are very reasonable, the staff are very friendly and welcoming too. The atmosphere is cozy and clean but the decor is a little bit dated but still very charming! I have ordered takeaway from Thai River too and it has been just as good. I would highly recommend the coconut rice, it's amazing. I love this restaurant and will definitely visit again :)
Great service, lovely food
I had the Chicken Pad Thai which was delicious, my girlfriend had the Weeping Tiger steak with crab fried rice, also delicious! Food presentation was lovely, all the plates and bowls had beautiful designs but nothing gaudy or cheap looking.
The staff are very friendly and talkative, cracking jokes with us all night but without intruding into our groups nights out.
The restaurant itself is very clean and tidy, a little cramped but it is small and they're trying to use as much space as possible.
Overall a beautiful little restaurant with good food I would happily visit again!!
My partner and I went here for our first visit and it was on Valentines Day. We pre-booked and thankfully were seated in a back corner away from the cold air at the front door and it was a bit quieter for us. The food was lovely. We have both been to Thailand and the smells and tastes took us straight back there. We can’t wait to have another meal here.
Lovely restaurant..Food delicious! Cost little bit high but palatable. Male waiter was wearing a baseball cap didnt look tidy...all waitresses looking nice in traditional dress... he was out of place... but that's just me being a perfectionists. Other than that critique point lovely evening.
The food is always so delicious! Very reasonably priced. Lovely, friendly, helpful staff. A great atmosphere. My favourite place to dine by far.
Been coming to Thai River for many years and never have had a bad meal here. Some really good dishes, very very tasty. Decent value. A good spot to have a Queens theatre pre-dinner meal.
Food gets better each visit. Tried different dishes recently & must be a new Chef. Food compared to when I went to Bali. Lovely flavours & staff very friendly. Looking forward to this weekend's visit.

First time at Thai River tonight. Read previews before booking but was the restaurant recommended by colleagues from the local fire station. We, my daughter my wife and myself had a wonderful meal. The staff were lovely and friendly, The decor was very nice not OTT or in your face. The meals wes served up hot with a warm smile. The meal was very tasty at a very good price. I can recommend this restaurant..
