I had the opportunity to visit this lovely restaurant on Tuesday. Thank you Luke. The service we received, from the beginning to the end, was exemplary. They made sure my daughter, Shannon was comfortably situated so that her wheelchair was not in an uncomfortable position. The food was excellent, such huge portions! Everything was well cooked and tasty. The staff were very attentive and the guy that served our deserts was suitably witty. We weren't rushed and felt very relaxed. I can honestly say, we can highly recommend anyone to book up and visit this restaurant.

Celebrated my 30th birthday last night along with 27 family members... Everyone said how fantastic the food was and the staff was absolutely amazing, so welcoming to children as well. Could not recommend this place enough... Will 100% be returning.

10/12/16, 13 of us went to the Christmas party night, it was superb!! Great value for money, the food was fab, all cooked lovely and served on hot plates!! The staff worked hard to look after everyone, DJ played all the great dance tunes and we all danced for hours. Would definitely recommend and will return next year.

We had our wedding reception at The Cranleigh and the service from the early planning stages through to delivery was superb. Nothing was too much trouble for Lisa and the team. Our afternoon tea was delicious and everyone made sure that all the small details were taken care of to make sure our special day was one we will never forget. Thank you!

Very clean, lovely place. The pictures are nice but the restaurant lacks character, a bit too bare. I could decorate it more creatively and warmly, plants would help too, but all in all it was a lovely experience for a birthday dinner.
Delighted with The Cranleigh, and how they handled our function. Nothing was too much trouble for the team (including making donation boxes and helping us work projectors). The food and pastries were delicious, it had a lovely atmosphere and was just the perfect location for us. Thank you.
20 people for a Sunday dinner & it was superb. No complaints about food. Waitress was excellent. I had pork belly roast with excellent crackling, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding & various veg.

We would like to thank Christine, Lisa and the team for making our wedding reception back in June as amazing as it was. They were extremely accomodating and helpful with regards to the plans. It never felt as though they were trying to get the highest price possible, but instead they tried to ensure that the plans were fit for what we wanted. Christine went above and beyond to ensure that everything went to plan on the day and was always a phone call away if we had any requests or queries. The dinner was very tasty and all of the guests enjoyed it very much; the same can be said about the buffet and the midnight snacks (bacon butties and chips). The staff were very attentive and polite and really did try to make sure that everyone was fed, watered and welcome. Overall as said before we had an amazing time and would fully recommend The Cranleigh for any event.
Lovely venue, very pleasant and helpful staff, buffet was superb quality, drinks at a very reasonable price, perfect sized hall for parties.
Went to a private celebration meal, and it was superb 👌🏾. The meal was very good and served by some excellent staff, everything from starters to deserts were well cooked and presented. The previous times that we've dined in the restaurant were just as good.

Absolutely amazing. The staff were so friendly, helpful and accommodating- especially as this was a last minute function room booking and we had dietary requirements. It was everything we had hoped for and more. Will definitely be using them again and highly recommend them!

Went to my sister's wedding here on Saturday 11th August 2018. From start to finish everything was perfect. The food was delicious ( many thanks to Steve the chef & all kitchen staff ) . The front of house staff were attentive & helpful very polite. & the DJ / live singer made the evening with a mix of music for all ages . A fantastic day all round . Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this a very special day
The Cranleigh is a great venue for birthdays, wakes, anniversaries and any occasion up to 140 or so people. Bar service is very efficient and normal pub prices and all buffet food laid on is excellent. DJ etc. can be arranged if required, we had one and was very good. Christine the owner has made sure all occasions I have been present have run absolutely faultlessly.
UPDATE: Google has unhelpfully removed my previous review, so apologies that I've had to write a new one from scratch. The food is always excellent, the service equally so, and I've yet to find a better dessert trolley anywhere in my half century on this earth. You will need to book well in advance, though - I'd suggest about a month for a weekend booking. Thank you for an enjoyable Mother's Day meal.
The service at the Cranleigh for our mother's wake was excellent. The thoughtfulness of Christine and all the staff was lovely and they made, what was a very stressful time, easier.
The venue is beautiful and the whole event was classy. The variety of food catered for everyone and was top quality.

Absolutely the best restaurant in Hornchurch. Not a chain but privately owned. Great food great service. Christine is the owner and puts her customers satisfaction first. We have had a wedding and a wake there too food was superb and service second to none. Can't wait to go back to the restaurant soon.

Arrived here for a rat pack night with friends.
Drinks were ordered and served very quickly starters and main meal orders were taken promptly, all food arrived piping hot and very tasty, steak, lamb, sole . Staff were on hand to take drinks orders no hanging around waiting for drinks or food.
Staff were exceptionally helpful and polite,
Tables were well spaced apart so your not sitting on top of other guests , no cramming people in here.
Entertainment was great defiantly would come back, trying to think of any negativity of the evening, but can’t fault the place. Well done all at cranleigh.

The Cranleigh hosted the wake following my Dad’s funeral last week.
We were impressed by the lovely, helpful staff who served us and the quality of the buffet provided. The cream cakes were delicious too!
Even though we were a small group (30ish) the room was welcoming and allowed us to mingle freely.
