Burgh House - Horley - Photo album

Excellent exhibition by Lancelot Ribeiro: Finding Joy in a Landscape On now until 17 December 2023 Lovely exhibition, a really nice place to visit. It has a cafe (the coffee is not very good, burnt and bitter) beautiful cute gardens.
I came here at around 10.30am. It was almost full, but we managed to find a seat without having to queue. I had a lovely tea with a lemon and coconut cream. It was a very generous piece and really tasty. Staff were dressed up for Halloween and were super nice. All the sweets were on display and look
Discovered this place and what a gem of a find for chamber music, who puts on early evening recitals. I had the pleasure of listening to Equinox Duo Who are a flute and harp combo, very enjoyable indeed. During the day there is also a cafe where you can sit out in the garden grounds. Weather permi
Lovely art inside and lovely cafe with outside seating. only 5 minute walk from Hampstead tube, whether you're a resident or visitor to Hampstead, Burgh House is a hidden gem, a place must to see.
Walk by to visit. Unfortunately it is not open on tuesday. Look beautiful on a sunny day.
Some interesting artwork. Not a huge amount to look at, but still a pleasant find. Francoise greeted me and was extremely helpful. Lovely food served in the cafe, but it got very busy and the service was very slow and not particularly friendly.
A wonderful georgian house, well-maintained and run by volunteers with free entry but donations welcome. Interestingly, this property feels like a home rather than one run by one of the big organisatio. À wonderful feel to it. A small cafe in the basement. there is a small cottage garden surroundinģ
Lovely house museum lost in the wonderful Hampstead village. It has a very cozy coffee shop with a garden area that are quintessential English. The food was nice but pricey, and the atmosphere buzzy. Worth the visit.
Lovely Queen Ann mansion that now serves as a museum and exhibition centre. At time of writing there is an exhibition of sketches of Hampstead Heath by Margaret Rowney on the ground floor. The first floor contains the museum which charts the history and development of Hampstead as a Spa centre in 17
Simply delightful spot- green , serene, lovely staff and delicious bites to eat…love their book shop and events too!
Very pleasant arty diversion in Hampstead. Nice art inside and lovely cafe with outside seating.
I've been to this façade since February 2017 with my Dad. It wasn't difficult to get there from Hampstead London Underground stn too. The lady I spoke to sounds nice after I asked about the photography. I did get permission for this etc. The museum is a bit small on the 1st floor and the café looks
Burgh House is a must to see, whether you're a resident or visitor to Hampstead. The architecture is lovely, there's a lot to see, and special exhibitions are often on display. There's a cafe for refreshments and resting one's feet after a long day walking around the Heath, and there's even a little
The cafe at Burgh House is the best in Hampstead. The atmosphere is uniquely charming and the breakfast is superb. The staff are genuinely kind and went out of their way to make our visit exceptional. No walk to the Heath is complete without a stop at the Burgh House cafe.
Wonderfully queer Georgian lifedrawing :) will definitely come to more
Had lunch for 5 people. It was very nice. The atmosphere was lovely and food freshly served.
I love Burgh House but today the cafe was a shambles. 2 mains ordered at the same time came an hour apart and only when the missing one was chased. The pleasant staff clearly had issues with bringing up items on the till and did not seem well organised. A shame as it was a lovely afternoon.
Visited for a private function. Lovely food, beautiful courtyard, historic panelled lounge. Staff were lovely.
Worth visiting for the early 18th century interiors, the local heritage and superb café.
