Really nice curry, I had a lamb Balti which was tasty and just the right spice level. Attentive staff and nice surroundings. I will be returning 👍🏼

Brilliant Indian restaurant with very helpful and knowledgeable staff, nothing is too much trouble and they are always willing to customise dishes to suit.

Went for an unexpected sit down meal. Wow, perfect food. I had to add more salt to my food (nothing new there) but I would rather add my own salt. Perfect size portions. Good service and very friendly. We didn't realise that you had to take your own alcohol, but it's fine there is an off-licence a couple of shops down, it just makes the meal even cheaper as we paid £6.99 for a bottle of wine rather than £15-20. So win win. £50 for a meal for two, including starters, poppadoms, sides and a tip 🙂

Excellent food but was shocked to find out the restaurant has a zero hygiene score !!! Will avoid big time because of this unfortunately!!

Absolutely spectacular curry! The sauces that came with the pappadams were super delicious and the naan was perfectly airy and chewy. Polite and fast service too. Highly recommend!

I had the most delicious curry that I have had in many years. I will definitely be using the New Fort Raj from now on, I usually find chicken to have a funny texture and taste in other restaurants but here the chicken was cooked absolutely perfect, the flavours of the sauce were just incredible. I ordered the chilli garlic tandoori chicken and it was absolutely divine . I also really appreciated the complimentary side of fresh salad. I enjoyed this meal so much that I had to call the restaurant back up to offer my compliments to the chef. Absolutely fabulous. I am very fussy and hard to please when it comes to food and I enjoyed the meal from this restaurant thoroughly. Highly recommend.

Staying at local hotel to catch flight in the morning, and it was just about the only place left open. Were the only ones in the joint, as it was close to 10pm. Appreciated the recommendations from the staff and the food was great. Loved it and glad was able to get some Indian while visiting England.

Fantastic food. This restaurant has my most favourite dish. Chicken badami. And I wasn't disappointed. We had the usual popadums to start with and the onions and mango chutney. The mint yoghurt was delicious . The popadums were freshly made and crispy I had chicken badami with peas pilau rice and a lovely fluffy peshwari nan packed with coconut . The peas pilau was good. My partner had lamb Gobi with Bombay potatoes. There was nothing left on the plate with the nan bread being used to get the last bit of sauce. We were then offered a complimentary Bailey's or brandy. It's a shame the restaurant is so far away from home but I'll definitely be back when we're next in the area . Well worth a visit. The staff were lovely and attentive.

Had a delivery, surprisingly it was great. I didn’t expect much quality and quantity but I was wrong. I recommend this restaurant for Indian dishes.

We always have great food from New Fort Raj and they are our go-to curry takeaway in horley.. I run the GP training scheme at the local hospital and I book them do do my trainee Christmas curry lunch every year, usually 80-90 people. The food is always excellent and tasty!

We ordered two curries for home delivery to Copthorne, a Balti and CTM. Excellent Balti, probably the nicest curry I have had since moving here three years ago. Definitely having a repeat experience. Even the delivery guy was nice and polite, couldn't ask for more.

The food was amazing, and although we had some trouble understanding eachothers accents, the service was top notch. I want to recomend this restaurant to everyone. Easily one of the best dining experiences ive ever had.
