Went for food - wanted afternoon tea but as it was a on the day booking it was not possible but the staff especially Eram( thank you for your kindness) & the male manager accommodated us. It was to take American visitors to see a typical English afternoon tea as a surprise. Amazing venue used for weddings, beautiful building with Tudor features and well kept garden High level food- credit to the chef. Freshly baked scones and delicious range of savoury food & sweet desserts. Can get hot drinks, mocktails as well as a large alcoholic menu. Michelin level cuisine. Definitely recommend & advise pre booking. Sat in the garden as it was a beautiful hot day Only negative was a female member of staff who when we initially came denied us ever booking saying there was no male member of staff (this is who we spoke to prior to coming) and only when we pushed to say that we had spoken to someone did the male manager come down & confirm us - but little things like this can spoil a special outing. Hopefully staff training can improve this

My French family and I went there for afternoon tea. Delightful. Lovely hotel and the tea was lovely. We'll be back.

Very good afternoon tea. But only because we were able to sit outside. We sat inside initially in a dimly lit room with tiny windows and no atmosphere.

Flying in on a Redeye from NYC into a train strike with a 27 hour layover and no way of getting to London seemed like a bad way to start a vacation. Oh, how wrong we were! We did not even need a cab for everything to be perfect. Langshott is just a 3 mile walk (yes, walk!) from Gatwick and the 27 hours we spent there was simply fabulous. The place. The room. The gardens and the garden bar. The Mulberry restaurant. The staff. Heck, even the ducks in the pond seemed especially lovely. A peaceful and perfect layover in the English countryside. Langshott is certainly worth visiting for afternoon tea or dinner even without a train strike and a long layover. But Langshott versus an actual airport hotel? Oh, please! Just look at the pictures - and the menus!! It really is that lovely. And yes, it really is a really simple walk from the South Terminal.

Gracias Melisa. Un abrazo. Xxx
