Amazing Birthday dinner for my Mother in Law this evening. I had the most gorgeous steak and merlot pie and everyone else really enjoyed what they had too. Really impressed and can't believe we haven't been to you before when we live just down the road! We hope to be back next weekend when we have family visiting. See you again soon! :)

Visited this lovely pub near Gatwick when staying overnight at Holiday Inn prior to early morning flight. It's around a 10 min walk then through a churchyard which adds to its ye olde character. Nice atmosphere and surroundings, excellent staff and service. Food was delicious. Really enjoyable. Recommended.

Nice pub not far from the airport, handy before a holiday. Just turned up and got a table fairly quickly. Food was good.

Really nice pub, with lovely food and great service. The Sunday trio I had was lovely and the vegetables were cooked to perfection! And I spoilt myself with a pink gin and tonic too! Henry was our server and he was very attentive, friendly, helpful personable and swift with the service - I would definately come here again!

Departure from Gatwick (or any airport you choose to mention) can be a stressful event, but just ten minutes down the road is the "Olde" Six Bells, and yes it's old, given you need to duck through the doors. The staff are pleasant, the food is outstanding with a ranged menu and it takes some of the angst out of a busy schedule. You can book on their website in advance and they are open all day, also dog friendly. Recommended.

A fantastic wee gem near Gatwick Central Travelodge. Food was amazing. Very friendly service and a beautiful setting. The building dates back to 1450 with an abundance of history.

Visited today (bank holiday Monday) for dinner, as we are staying nearby in preparation for travelling from Gatwick tomorrow. We didn’t have a booking so had to wait about 30 minutes, which was fine as we were able to sit outside and enjoy a drink as the weather was nice. Staff were friendly, service was a little slow at times but understandable as it was quite busy. Food was tasty, the portion of crumble was HUGE but I found the fruit filling a little bit sour (however my partner was happy to help finish it!) Would happily visit again next time we are around this area.

Just needed a place to eat while we stayed the night close to gatwick airport, and this little gem was walking distance from the hotel. The setting was awesome, food choices were great, and tasted even better. Even for my 2 little girls, they enjoyed it too. This could be a new yearly route for our travels, so we'll be looking forward to our next visit here! Cheers.

We only had one night in London and I am very glad this was one of our stops. Fully booked but we just stood at the bar and had a beer and wowee did we know we were in England! But yep definitely plan ahead if you want to score some chips, I’m sure they’re good.

We are always happy to come to Six Bells. Food is delicious, you can't go wrong with anything you order. The staff is very nice and polite and always helpful. Waiting time for food is also usually very good. We came for Sunday roast recently and it was delightful. The only 'complain' is that the portion is so big I had no space for the dessert. Well done!

The food was great. Drinks excellent. I know it is an old building but need the air to circulate better. It got stuffy as more people arrived.

First visit here, but definitely won't be our last. We were greeted on entering and shown to our table, in this lovely, inviting and cosy building. We are pleased to say we experienced outstanding food quality and service. We have visited many Vintage Inns but this is in another class altogether. The food was absolutely delicious and presented professionally. The pate/parfait starter was a picture to behold in itself. Best pate starter I've ever had! We were looked after by Alice, who was friendly, helpful and very efficient. She made our whole experience very relaxing and cosy, just what we needed. Really looking forward to a return visit. If you want gorgeous food in lovely surroundings and friendly, professional service, look no further!

Have visited several times this year and have been very satisfied with this genuinely old pub. Tall folk take great care!! Today 4 of us enjoyed a mid week lunch for a change. My curry was excellent as was my wife’s fish dish. Friendly and efficient service too
