Wow!! Went for lunch today and as you can see we tried a few things and was everything perfectly cooked my steak was delicious!! and well presented! Very generous portion!
The only thing I was not kin about was, I don’t mind paper under my food, looks nice but I wouldn’t put it in the steak plate, you cut the steak and you cut a bit of paper and you have to check you not eating a bit of paper (not big deal but that is something I would do different)
Such a great view right next to the sea, large menu to everyone's taste including kids menu from sea to land. Half a roast chicken was huge and Brisket, crunchy chips all served with a smile. Recommended to book as it was very busy, really nice outside area too.
This is a great addition to the West Beach Caravan Park. Its in the park so if you're camping you can have extravagant meals in your tent, or in a double decker bus. Even if you're not camping you can pop in and get a great meal.
Food is not cheap but is very good. Location is incredible.

We were a family group of 5, aged 50+ and booked a late lunch here, as I had enjoyed a previous visit with my husband a couple of years ago. We were not disappointed!
The new building is fabulous, with different areas and very comfortable seating. Everything is clean and tidy and the service was attentive without being overbearing. We all chose different items from the varied menu, and were also tempted by the offerings on the specials board.
The food was excellent, all arrived quickly, and at the same time. Everyone had a share of all the dishes and nobody left hungry.
My chicken was succulent, the chilli squid was as it should be, mussels were in a delicious broth and the bass cooked perfectly and served with chermoula!
Thankfully there is now blue badge parking, as it is a fair stroll from the main road, that I have to admit I wasn't looking forward to.
I would thoroughly recommend.
Excellent, we have eaten in and had a take away as menus are different. Excellent service provided and food amazing, views are also stunning, was glad to see Dory back in position 😀

Every single thing about this place is above excellent: the food, the staff, the building design, the interior design, the service, everything.
Meeting with friends for lunch and we were delighted that this was the venue. We shared a whole chicken between three of us and one had a burger. All were delicious. Only small downside was that all sides, including sauces, were individually priced which does add up on the end bill. Although, really, the food is so, so good, it is worth it, just be prepared.
I think this place will be super busy in summer so book ahead. Well done and keep going to the owners and their fabulous, happy and friendly staff. This really does make for the ideal place to go with family, friends or just the two of you - it is special enough for romantic meal too.
Summer time - lots of outdoor tables with more across the little road looking out to sea.
A wedding anniversary in Moray means i have to hang up my trackies and hoodies and make an effort. A pair of jeans and a polo shirt was the order of the day. That kind of effort means the food best be worth it.
Bootleggers was worth it. I'm going to say that I had the best tasting cheeseburger in the UK.
The service was class, the restaurant had a great vibe and the scenery was beautiful!

Having had this place recommended so many times we had high expectations and were absolutely NOT disappointed! The atmosphere was relaxed, the decor was inviting, the staff were welcoming and so friendly and also really helpful when it came to choosing our food. And then the food.... it was fantastic, particularly the brisket which was as tender as you like and the flavour was something else. We were so full but still had to have dessert because we knew it would be delicious. We even had a sea view whilst we ate. Will 100% be returning in the future
We didn't sit in as we had 2 large dogs with us. Food was amazing though, and great views too.
Food was lovely, fast service. They did mess up our drink but soon sorted it out. We would definitely use again.
On recommendation from Charlotte at the Kilmichael Hotel in Drumnadrochit, we drove 90 minutes, and it was worth the drive. Friendly and efficient staff meet you at the door. I had the Slow Roast Brisket in Hoisin Sauce and the wife had Sea Bass Special, both were amazing!
The whole experience backed up with a wonderful sea view was one we will remember when we think of Scotland on our return home❤️
Beautiful cosy place within the caravan park in Hopeman, overlooking the beach. Lovely roaring log burner with plenty of seats within the lower floor, I didn't see upstairs but presume it's further dining with a brilliant view.
Food was amazing, with good choice. Perfect for sharing or just for yourself.
I had the slow roast brisket with bbq, fries and mustard coleslaw. Hubby had the special of pigeon with crabby fries.
Fairly priced for what you get and atmosphere. Definitely recommend!
Can't fault this place really the atmosphere with live music, served up with excellent food and a view to top it off
If you're ever in the area, I suggest you pop in for a visit. You won't be disappointed with a menu to suit all and reasonably priced
Myself and two friends visited on the 18th may, firstly the decor is absolutely on trend, just a stunning place to have a quick snack or lunch.

The lunch we had was absolutely beautiful, I and one friend had haddock and the other had a burger...it was so well cooked...
The coffee was definitely to my taste, so ThanQ you all, this is our place to visit on a regular basis from now on.
We have told a number of friends who will be visiting the bootleggers in the very near future.
Oh and the fact when I come back with my beautiful dog that I can take him in downstairs is perfect. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟☕🍰🍝🍜🍛🍣🥧

Brilliant food, absolutely lovely. Staff were all incredibly kind and seemed like a very friendly workplace. The restaurant itself was very nice and it created a lovely atmosphere, we got to have dinner on the balcony looking out onto the beach in the beautiful summers weather.
Exceptional food but a bit on the pricey side. That said, the portions are big. The view of the Moray coast from upstairs is fantastic. The staff were attentive but not in your face and genuinely seemed happy at work
Delicious food over a gorgeous view! Really well decorated and the staff team was really friendly! Prices are good and food is local! We’ve had sirloin steaks, a side of crushed potatoes and a salad of cucumber miso, fish goujons for the little one. Eton Mess for pudding was delish and super creamy 🥰🔥 Really enjoyed our diner there! Thanks!!
