Good service, wonderful food. Great views from the pods. The seafood platter was huge and everything was perfectly cooked.
If I had to criticize anything, it would be the plastic glassware in the pods (although maybe they just put that in ours because we were dining with two small children and three dogs).
The visit here topped off our trip to Hope Cove perfectly.
We came for fresh lobster and ended up sharing a very large seafood platter.
It's not cheap but worth every penny.
£40 for the sharing plate plus the cost of the lobster, which are sold 500 600 700 grames. We chose the 600gr which was ample. ( £8/100gr)..
The staff were very casual but also efficient , friendly and helpful
The restaurant has pods for you to sit in but it was such a fabulous day we chose to sit on an outdoor table looking over the bay and harbour.
Despite storm Ciaran raging outside, pod was lovely and cosy.
Friendly staff, good food and stunning views
I had the sea bass with new potatoes which was really nice, fresh and healthy.
Excellent view of hope cove.
The pod was clean, had music system and air con.
Staff were attentive and helpful.
Great place for a unique dining experience!
We enjoyed fantastic food in the most idyllic setting. The pods offer a private dinner in a public place overlooking the beautiful hope cove.
Food comes at a bit of a premium but definitely worth it in my opinion!
The person I was with is intolerant to Gluten, the waiter gave us a book with a fine breakdown of every ingredient in every meal to allow us to check it wouldn’t be an issue. This really felt above and beyond expectation.
Amazing place nested on the side of the harbour... service was great (really need to book in Summer)... food was great, Sea Bass and crab dishes were best I've had....
Your own pod with amazing views of Harbour beach. You could play your own music via Bluetooth. The food was delicious and service was great. The manager was very knowledgeable about the menu.
We had a lovely lunch here on the bank holiday in May 2023. The staff were really friendly and the service was good.
The views from the garden are stunning and the only way to eat fresh seafood with a Seaview
Very nice food, nice view and friendly staff. Bit pricey
What a fantastic restaurant in an idealic setting we sat in one of their lovely pods overlooking the cove. Their staff were friendly and very informative when it came to the options on the menu. Their food was unbelievable. We had a few starters and light bites, which was enough. I love my monkfish, and their monkfish bites are so far the best way I have eaten monkfish. I would highly recommend it. We normally take away and sit on the beach to eat. I would defo recommend eating in if you get the chance, but book ahead they can be very busy at peak times. Happy eating 😋
Have eaten here several times over the last couple of years - thoroughly recommend! Wonderful views of Hope Cove and the food is delicious with generous portions. Staff work work so hard to make the dining experience perfect. We’ll be back next week - can’t wait to eat here again 😃
You can sit in a pod in the garden overlooking the Cove, playing your own music with heater. Food absolutely wonderful, the most lovely chowder, scallops with cheese and chorizo, . A meal for two with starters, beers and bottle of champagne £144. Superb. Seating a little uncomfortable but quirky. Superb service. Grand vista. Well worth a visit.
Just been to this place for my birthday:
At first I was a bit apprehensive about giving my card details for reservation of one of the pods and receiving a note to say that if you didn't show up or give more than 24 hours notice for cancellation you'd be charged £25 per head (£150 in my case). But fortunately all went ahead as planned and turned out to be a really great experience! Heating and Bluetooth speakers in the pods are a really nice addition, very cosy and can order without having to leave your pod, views are awesome! Portions were brilliant much better than any other place I've been to by the sea. I had been reading that this place was overpriced and the food not good, however I disagree, although it's not gourmet - I wasn't expecting that - but overall for the price I think the quality was reasonable... But the setting and the service were top class especially for winter time. The assistant manager Ben is a great guy and looked after us well. Would visit again! Thanks
A delightful coastal eatery serving beautifully fresh, vibrant local food. We booked an early evening meal and were seated in one of the very funky pods overlooking the breathtaking scenery.
Waiting staff were perfectly attentive without ever making us feel rushed. Great selection of local drinks and the draft ale was a hit!
Food was nothing short of excellent, every bit packed with flavour and cooked to perfection. We were especially impressed with the allergen menu that enabled us to choose suitable food for one of our dairy intolerant party.
If you're in the area you absolutely should eat here.
Was such a beautiful setting! We were running late but with 5 minutes to go they still managed to fit us in for some of the best food I’ve ever eaten!
A wonderful place. The food was excellent as was the service. I had seabass , and a full one.. two fillets with chips and salad and my partner had Hake with salad and boiling potatoes in skins. We had a " pod" with excellent views over HOPE COVE . The pod can seat 6 in comfort . We got shown how to connect the Bluetooth system to our phone so we could plug our own music by young Ethan ( good luck on your future ventures Ethan). The staff were very attentive but not overpowering.
All in all an excellent experience thanks to Helen and her staff. Will definitely be back with friends and family.
