The place is great! Quiet area, lovely views. Very close to the the train station with links to neighbouring towns. The Hotel and Pub staff are very helpful and lovely people! Absolutely recommended! (Visited in August 2017).
Lovely place, lovely staff and went above and beyond in looking after us during our wedding weekend
Four of us went for a Sunday roast and all agreed it was a superb meal of high quality served in a welcoming friendly atmosphere the special offer price was a added bonus

Gladly one of our best nights out in Hook ever. We hired The Raven Suite for my wife's 50th birthday party. Chris and his staff couldn't do enough for us, especially the ever present Richie who was an absolute star and a credit to his profession. We also enjoyed a delicious Sunday meal. We had our engagement party here at the weekend. Couldn't recommend it more highly, from start go finish it has been fantastic. Service has been brilliant, food was delicious, excellent dj and staff that made you feel nothing was too much trouble. Excellent value for money and definitely the place to hold a celebration.
We recently held our wedding reception here and chris and his team went out of their way to make it special and were happy to let us do what we want with the room and checked all our requirements. The whole day went smoothly. The food was very nice. All the effort put in was greatly appreciated by us and our family and friends who have all told us they had a great time. Recently stayed here for my sisters wedding and could not fault the service we received. The rooms were lovely and clean and the meal and my sisters wedding reception was excellent. A very enjoyable stay.
Was a good location next to the station and we had a wedding nearby and was easy to arrange a taxi for. The hotel is very basic but the rooms are clean and have what you need. The place is just generally tired and the walls are very thin so we could hear someone coughing next door all night.
We had lunch which was very slow but was lovely food once it arrived and also breakfast which was lovely and this was much quicker.
Not sure I would stay here again but it was ideal for what we needed and good value for money compared to other places in the area.
Great place to stay, we stayed 1 night, had our dog with us, room in ground floor was a bit dated as was receprion , but had everthing we needed. Great shower plenty of hot water,comfy bed, fantastic breakfast served in the restaurant/ bar, we also had an evening meal there, staff were lovely and attentive especially Calum.
Kind and tentative waitress to start, she must have gone on break or finished for the day because after she served us no one checked on us and we needed to flag someone down to pay the bill. Beautiful front to the building. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant area we sat at helped by some beautiful sunshine.
Family room fine but six flights of stairs to get there, evening meal was very nice and the patience and helpfulness of Calum our waiter couldn’t have been better, thank you again young man
Stayed here with friends. Lovely friendly pub with a great atmosphere. Food lovely, friendly staff. Rooms cleaned daily. Lots of choice for breakfast, and the chef cooked me perfect poached eggs!
Great service, thank you very much! Plenty of parking. Rooms are pretty quiet even though it's so close to the pub.
Really nice rooms and comfy beds. The food is great and the drinks are very reasonable, under £5 a pint. Breakfast is really good too. Bar staff are very friendly. Can't fault the raven at all.

Been here several times for food and have eaten a wide range of the menu. Every time it has been cooked well and the service has been wonderful. Thanks guys
The bar staff are extremely welcoming, efficient and friendly. I often use this bar as my local, great atmosphere and the clientele is generally of a good standard which makes for a very pleasurable visit. The one downside are the male toilets ( I cannot say about the female toilets!) They are not checked and are filthy with the floor often flooded.
Went to watch the Rugby and have dinner. Very busy but staff were brilliant and food was very good.
Booked 2 rooms for the family for 1 night. Good location, easy parking. Lots of hot water and rooms warm. Staff were very helpful and a great curry restaurant opposit. Great, friendly atmosphere in the pub.
Spent the afternoon with some friends sitting outside - was beautiful. Easy to find and perfect location off the main highway

Went there for lunch with family, was impressed with service which we didn’t have to wait long for foods to come which was delicious foods n very good portion size for value of price
We went there for dinner. The food and service were good. It is just a pity that the place is run down a lot.
