There is a superb period Inn in Hook Norton that is now offering superb cusine with flair, great local hand pulled ales and spirits plus a standard of service sought but rarely found.Upon entering the establishment the atmosphere is more than enough to tempt you to stay and experience first hand everything this Inn has to offer- you will not be disappointed and like us will come back again.

We had a lovely meal at The Sun Inn whilst staying in Hook Norton for our honeymoon. The roast dinner was delicious however, being gluten-free, I was not able to have the homemade Yorkshire Pudding or the Cauliflower Cheese which made the meal a little small. It would have been nice to have had an extra slice of meat and perhaps a little more veg to compensate for this. The quality of the food was excellent, fast service, and lovely staff.

Everything about this place is great but the staff especially are fantastic. Everyone of them cannot do enough for you. The room was very nice clean tidy. One little critism there is no bedside cabinet on one side of bed. Beautiful meal in restaurant the steak was perfect. All in all a fab visit

This is a lovely little pub in the Cotswolds, situated in a lovely village I’ve known well for years and it’s worth a visit if you just want to visit a quaint little village that has loads of buildings with Cotswold stone buildings, to me this is one of the loveliest parts of the Uk building wise. We were there to visit family and do a walk followed by a pub lunch. The Sunday lunch was good, but I wouldn’t say amazing, I chose wrong? I went for the pork and should have gone for the beef. The pork was slightly over cooked and chewy, but the beef looked cooked to perfection and juicy, my wife went for the beef and I had food envy. The best part about the meal to me was the carrots and parsnips followed by the cauliflower cheese. The potatoes were nice and nicer than most pubs but I thought they were a little over done. All in all it was a nice experience, the staff were friendly and the prices were standard.

Lovely local village pub with small but clean and functional rooms. A very old building opposite the large church whose bells thankfully stop ringing after midnight. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.

AJ could not do enough for us! We visited to see if we could hold an event there. She took the time to show us around the whole place. She was friendly, informative and professional. We had a delicious lunch too! A lovely lace to visit.

Wow, you get a terrific meal, all home made, served by very nice staff at a reasonable price. The bar is very good, but the restaurant is way better than average.

Excellent food, ambiance and service. Not much more to be said. Update: Once a month now doing a mid-week roast. Choice not as extensive as on Sunday but still one of the best roasts around and ours just came with a free dessert! Brilliant 👍

We'd heard how good the food was, so gave it a go. We weren't disappointed really friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, reasonably priced but the thing to try is their cheesey marmite chips.

Ate here twice during a few-day visit and the food was sensational. Especially the roasts. Beer ok-to-good, but arguably slightly better up the road as mentioned elsewhere. The service was just kinda odd - seems like some of the younger servers just need a bit of training in interaction! Everything else good enough to give it four stars.

Great pub, really good selection of local beers. Food was really good and tasty. Big garden out the ideal for a meal and a drink and be able to watch the kids at the same time

Great service from the moment we checked in. All 3 members of staff that I encountered, including the bar, were wonderful. Great breakfast included with room and we were given a pot of tea before we left.

The Sun hosted our son's 18th birthday party and delivered a superb service. Many guests said it was the best buffet they had ever had. Becs and her team are fantastic. The Sun is highly recommended for your function or event.
