Pity the rib eye steak has gone from the menu as it was awesome and the best steak I have had ever !!!. Please bring it back on the menu. Saying that the ribs were awesome. As always food and service was excellent. Highly recommend eating here, atmosphere is always warm and friendly.
Great food. Homemade deliciousness on a plate. The steak and ale pie is filling and meaty and the extra jug of lovely gravy a great extra touch because I am after all a northerner! Lovely staff too. Well done Jacobs Well - will be back soon :)

Went to Holmfirth for the day, but couldn’t find a restaurant to tickle our taste buds, so drove a few miles n found this place, glad we did, the food was lovely cooked to perfect, my partner had rump steak n he’s really funny about steak but he couldn’t fault it, the veg veg he with it was a perfect combination, atmosphere very welcoming, and the staff very friendly, deffo return.
We visited yesterday for a family meal. There were 22 of us in total. We had a really lovely meal, the food and the service were both fab! Lovely setting x
Without doubt the best Sunday lunch I have ever eaten in a restaurant. The beef was tasty, the Yorkshire pudding crispy and full of flavour and the veg excellent and varied. We were also given individual gravy boats brimming with delicious gravy! My daughter and I shared a starter and desert, both were excellent. And the service was very polite, friendly and prompt. 10 out of 10, we will return soon.

This pub was my first visit, arrived too late for lunch, however the owner went out of their way to make a sandwich and fries with side salad.
The staff were very helpful and friendly, and went the extra mile.... Needless to say will definately be going back again. 😜👍

The staff are so nice, and the food is amazing! I had steak and it was honestly the best thing I have ever eaten.
The food was fantastic as was the service. We booked for mums 80th for 16 of us and they couldn't have been more helpful. The owner even organised taxis for us to get home as our local company couldn't be bothered to come out there even though they dropped us off there!
Menu had lots to choose from and the seafoo risotto was delicious �

Absolutely beautiful meal for Hubbies 60th Birthday meal together ❤️ Given a 3 for atmosphere as we booked for the restaurant well in advance as it was a special occasion. After arriving early we were told the restaurant was full and we could sit in the bar ? I said we'll we would rather sit where we were booked. Such a shame we were then sat next to a family with very young children celebrating a young party it seamed. Not very atmospheric for us. The meal was gorgeous though but we didn't stop for a drink after.

Chose the early bird menu and only managed 2 courses very satisfying and tasty. The bread was swapped without fuss for a unseeded loaf, due to my allergies. We didn't book, it was Wednesday at 4pm.. so thought it would be ok, they kindly got us the last table in the bar area. So advisable to pre-book!
Had been recommended by quite a few people so thought would give it a go and wasn't disappointed food was really good and healthy portions would definitely go again
Really nice bar. Lovely food and excellent service. Had a Sunday lunch, and it was very good. Would like to go back to sample some more of their menu. Dogs are welcome in the bar area. (You can eat in this area also).
Had the slow roasted lamb shank , was beautiful, shared the crab an prawn starter , very nice , not much crab , but loads of prawns, and shared a lime cheesecake, well an truly stuffed , highly recommend.
Had a wonderful evening with my family to celebrate my 60th birthday. Staff were helpful, friendly and looked after us really well. Compliments the chef, everyone really enjoyed their meals. Great night! Thank you. Kim
Great food, fair prices. Warm and cosy asthenosphere. Welcoming and friendly hospitality. Just felt a bit rushed out (appreciate it is Sunday though)
Lovely pub that has some excellent friendly and helpful staff. Food was top notch. Shame on my visit several cask lines were not on, and no keg offering for proper craft beer fans. Some cask being out of stock might be down to current circumstances. I would certainly recommend for food. Kids portion was generous too.
