Lovely lunch in the sunny flowery garden. We had goats cheese tart and ham salad with elderflower drinks. Highly recommend this local cafe.

This kind of cafe is a rare breed these days. Good old-fashioned British dishes, tasty, freshly cooked food and homemade cakes. Really enjoyed the bubble and squeak breakfast today, topped with a poached egg and bacon. My husband had a full English breakfast (with extra bubble and squeak) and loved it (special mention for the delicious sausages). Friendly, welcoming service. Excellent value. To put this into context, my husband and I had two meals from the all-day breakfast menu, plus a big pot of tea for two, all for £11.00. Later that afternoon, we went to a certain well-known chain of coffee shops and paid £7 just for two coffees. It's a no-brainer. Dog-friendly. Well done Lacemaker's Cafe, and thank you. We don't visit Honiton that often, but when we do, we wouldn't eat anywhere else.

My husband, baby, dog & I were warmly welcomed by all staff and served very quickly. The dog was offered water & the baby offered a high chair. The menu was great, with specials on offer. Our choices were delicious and made with no wait at all. The cake we had was also delicious & a generous size. Thank you to Ray who answered my email question within minutes of me sending it & then greeted us and asked after our journey so far.

Visited this gorgeous little cafe for the first time today with my daughter, I can honestly say it wont be our last. We were greeted by the most lovely young lady who was so lovely and helpful, we ordered two vegetarian breakfasts and topped off with a pot of tea totally fabulose. What an absolute hidden gem, loved it.

The food and service were both excellent. I had the local crab sandwich which was both huge and delicious. Our waitress was extremely jolly and I was sorry not to have any cash on me to leave as a tip. (My husband told me there was no easy way to add service when paying by card - this might be something they want to sort out!)

* UPDATE after several years * After continuing to visit for breakfast their standards remain high. Despite the lockdown the staff are still super happy and wonderful. Can’t recommend this place enough. A few nice additions to their menu too. Great breakfast. The quality is high. Lovely staff. Nothing more needs to be said

I recently ordered a home delivery for cooked meals after a friend highly recommended the Cafe. The crab cakes followed by fish pie were equally delicious. The next day we shared the savoury scone with cheese which I warmed and it was divine. The portions are generous and very good value. We have the lamb ragu and lasagne conveniently in the freezer to look forward to. I will definitely be ordering again and spreading the good word.

Lovely family run business. Very friendly and helpful staff went out of thier way to accommodate my friend and I. The scones were delicious. In fact the other cakes look really yummy and if it wasn't for my diet I would have liked to have tried more. Would definitely recommend this lovely little cafe.

I have eaten here on a regular basis for the last few months and the food has been consistently beautiful, traditional home cooked meals. The bacon and sausages are exceptional! The roast dinners are a treat and the midweek specials are lovely. This week was a lamb butterfly chop with a creamy sauce, it was divine! The staff are friendly and attentive, the cafe itself is warm and cosy and inviting. A true local business using locally sourced produce. Thank you for recommending your butcher, a very polite and knowledgeable person and the bakery you use has a beautiful range of breads and buns. Once again THANK YOU.

We visited the cafe late lunchtime. Was offered water for our dog as we sat down. Ordered 2 fish & chips & 1 sausage & mash. All meals piping hot & tasty. Lovely pot of tea in proper teapot (I know that probably sounds daft but so many just offer teabag in cup)Then ordered three cakes - Victoria sponge, coffee & walnut & carrot cake - again all 3 lovely. All this for under £40 which I thought was very good given the quality of the food. Shame we only come down this way once a year but we will definitely remember again for next year!

Very nice breakfast although my husband thought the bubble and squeak had too much cabbage! Hot strong coffee and quick friendly service. Free parking in the street for one hour.

A very nice cafe. Extremely friendly staff. Highly recommended to dog owners, and they even brought out Bailey (cocker spaniel) a sausage! Probably only thing stopping 5 stars was a sticky table situation and a bit if dust! Dont let that stop you from going though! A good find.

My nan and grandad live in Honiton and regularly enjoy going out for afternoon tea. In the first lockdown it was quite a change to the system for them not being able to go out. My sisters and I, who live up in Yorkshire, wanted to brighten their day, so I emailed the cafe asking if they did a delivery service, and they did! Two days later my grandparents were tucking into a delicious afternoon tea, and since then have enjoyed more deliveries.

Best Full English breakfast in Devon. Ray the owner is a top man, great little café with good prices and service. Very surprising also that a roast can be had here too which is very nice from experience. Would recommend to everyone.

A nice friendly tea room, that does roast dinners at a reasonable price on Sunday. It's also advisable to book if you have a large party. Great roast beef sauced from the local butchers "Porky's" in New street.Honiton

Although you can't sit and enjoy your coffee you can have it as takeaway. Also picked up cheese scones fresh and warm from the oven. They were delicious.
