Beautiful characterful pub overlooking the sea. When you first go in it feel Kim's walking into a cosy little boat, but the place is deceptively spacious with lots of seating upstairs. We went for lunch on a Friday and the atmosphere was brill.
We had chowder (seafood and meat) and shared the chicken flatbread. Everything was full of flavour, generous portions and very fresh.
Service was wonderful and friendly. Nice mix of clientele. Seating upstairs has brilliant views out of over the sea.
Highly recommend!
I love this restaurant/pub. Beautiful place with good views of Belfast Lough. You can see the ferries leaving or coming into Belfast pet while enjoying a beautiful meal. The food is really good and tasty. I recommend this place to everyone that likes a nice restaurant
Very nice with big portions. I had the sausages and mash, which was a huge portion, but I would recommend ordering some extra gravy. My partner ordered the veggie roast, and it was lovely as well, but lacking some imagination as it was simply vegetables. Overall everything was tasty and great value, the staff were super friendly as well. It's only dog friendly outside.
Perfect spot for a summer's day. Staff are friendly and the food is on the whole good. Had our dog so sat outside for food. There is one long table outside with shelter with two heaters above it (not turned on during our visit but we were wrapped up). Meal was spoilt when a smoker came out and smoked beside us because it was raining. Dining upstairs provides great views over the lough. Always appears to be busy so recommend booking a table.
Simply wonderful. Great pub, lovely atmosphere and tasty food, the best meal we had during our weekend in Belfast, highly recommended.
The fish and chips were excellent, the tartar sauce was very good. The crab claws weren't great but the prawns and tomatoes were good. The garlic chips were also quite nice. The sticky toffee pudding was yummy. Overall a decent meal and experience.
First time going there after a friend suggested it and we absolutely loved it.The place is quaint and warm, they have an open fire which we were sitting next too(though there was a draft from the kitchen). The staff are friendly. The service was fast and efficient. The food tasted absolutely amazing and the portion sizes were huge.We ended up sharing a dessert as we were really full but wanted to taste.l made the mistake of ordering my meal(desperate dan) without champ as l dont like it but it would definitely have been better with champ. We will be going back for more.
Lovely seafood restaurant / bar, just a few steps from the sea shore. The train station is also close by, which is nice. They have good number of lagers and ales of different brands on tap. All the meals are for a reasonable price and very tasty. I can recommend their Pan Fried Hake and Nelty's nachos. Excellent!

Lovely we place. Very friendly atmosphere toped up with tasty grub. Staff is excellent. Could not fault it.
Service fantastic and wonderful food! Havent been in a couple of years due to covid etc but today we were reminded why we loved it....view from upstairs was lovely, staff attentive and service quick...i had the chicken and bacon chowder with wheaten bread...the chowder was creamy, filling and a great alternative to fish chowder and the bread extremely fresh. My partner had the desperate Dan ( his personal choice EVERY time we eat here!) and was as great as it always is....will definitely be back! 😁
