We came here as a bit of a last-minute decision and glad we did. It's only just up the road but not been here for years.
We had a wonderful welcoming, and the service throughout our stay was great.
There's a good choice on the menu, and prices were pretty good.
Our meals came quickly and we're abso
Just managed to catch lunchtime last orders when we visited. Updated and extended interior with a nice selection of beers. Food menu looked good with plenty of internal seating. Two smallish outdoor areas. Friendly staff.
Came here for lunch on a Friday with our walking group. The place is obviously very popular, but they could accommodate 17 of us. Service was good, despite the fact we only had sandwiches and chips (both of which were very good). Had to pay a £10 per person booking deposit, which 3 of our members l

Excellent staff, a wonderful service, delicious food and tasty drinks 🍻 Just relax and enjoy!
Loved the Calves Liver from the menu, although would have preferred it with mushrooms instead of smoked bacon.
Thank you xxx
What a discover. I mean… it’s an historic place to visit. it’s a 16th century pub!
The old man waiter was incredibly lovely with us, but above all with my baby girl. I was there with my hubby and my 3yo girl 2 times. The place it’s incredibly comfy and warmy, specially in rainy days. They have a goo
Really nice staff, and good food for a good price.
Returned tonight for dinner.
So new manager I think, nice lady. Had scallops to start, then roasted pork loin. My wife had veg curry. Our friends had good meal as well, salt and pepper squid, then liver .. very nice evening.
We randomly stopped here on our travels for a quick tea and to use the toilet and we loved it and ended up staying for a couple of hours and getting a roast! It was lovely. Special shout out to Polly who looked after us and was super friendly. We hope to come back one day :)
Pleasant 'Local' pub in Holyport. Staff nice; full of friendly locals... food looked great - so tempted to come back again for a pub lunch! Bit limited with what's on tap, and mind you don't bang your head walking about... but otherwise, nice pub! RECOMMEND.
We went for a meal on valentines day. The food was superb and the ambience is lovely. Staff were amazing, friendly, attentive, welcoming etc. Highly recommend we had a lovely evening
I would like to express my gratitude to Inder for making us feel so welcome in his pub. As newcomers to the area, we booked a table for 20 people and were impressed with the way he handled our request. His friendly approach and manner, along with the great food and atmosphere, encouraged us to retur

Perched on the end of Holyport green The George is in a great location. The interior is tastefully decorated in a modern style while still keeping the feel of a village pub. The staff were friendly and polite and very prompt with their service. They have a nice beer garden around the side of the pub
Delish dishes, different from you usual pub. Extra hearty and healthy food. Highly recommend if you are in the area. Also the servers are very friendly and helpful. They care about the place.
Made to feel welcome
Good food. First class service from all staff. Would recommend.
Jenny deserves a raise. Our table and all the other around us were served promptly, in a friendly manner, with the right level of attentiveness.
The food was great and the green is beautiful.
Had a lovely Sunday lunch here today, staff were attentive, friendly and efficient, food was excellent and plentiful! Would highly recommend and will definitely be going back!
