Amazingly busy and well run cafe with delicious coffee, melt in the mouth scones and cakes, gorgeous fresh crab and seafood salads - sandwiches and toasties, all as quickly served as possible. The owners and staff are so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The post office is part of the business too, plus boutique holiday accommodation. Can highly recommend.

Just spent the day in this beautiful place, and had lunch at 1st Class Food. It certainly lives up to its name. When I was paying the bill, I mentioned to the guy serving me (the manager maybe??), that it was my mams birthday. He came out with a slice of cake for her and sang happy birthday. She was mortified but chuffed to bits, as was I. Thank you so much, you made it even more special. Definately be back.

Delicious locally sourced food and coffee. Highly recommend the Bamburgh banger and spicy tomato toasties! Lovely family run business with very friendly staff and fast service. Don't forget to pop into the attached takeaway shop for ice creams!

Possibly the best value breakfast on the Northumberland coast. Using good quality local produce, our breakfast was both very tasty and served quickly by friendly staff. The smoked bacon was delicious, as was the sausage and all the other items. Washed down with a nice pot of strong tea, it was a good start to the days exploring on Holy Island.

Came across this amazing cafe on our way to the car park. The staff were very welcoming, helpful, friendly and attentive. We had two excellent cappuccinos and a slab of home baked lemon and coconut cake. I would highly recommend this cafe for all the above.

Stopped here after doing to loop walk around the island. After a few hours of walking, it's a great place to stop and refresh. It's not cheap (but no where is nowadays). The food is good quality. My husband had the crab 🦀 sandwich (he said it was great, tasted really fresh), and I had the bacon, crambery, and brie sandwich. Very nice.

Arrived from my pilgrimage hungry. Food is first class lovely grub apart from sausage roll which was mediocre at best but went down my dads hatchet. Food delicious and service spectacular. Hard working people who do their best for tourists. Very organised and good system for ordering which resulted in no wait for food. Enjoyed the holy crab was delicious and I am thankful to god for such a wonderful meal. Felt blessed praise be to god. 🙏

Having only previously visited on a day when we could use the outdoor area it was great to find that there is a dog friendly room inside the cafe. We both had the Holy Island full breakfast, and full we certainly were afterwards. The component parts were excellent, especially the bacon and sausage - really tasty and obviously good quality. Look forward to a return visit.

We dropped in for a early morning coffee on the 12th April 22 and we were “not”disappointed it’s location is good as is it’s accessibility with lots of outdoor seating including a underneath open sided shelter Inside is clean with lots of bench and table seating. We did not eat on this occasion.. but could see a fantastic selection of food and cakes on display. Staff very friendly and the coffee was excellent 👍. Very well done to all concerned 🥇 After or drink we moved through to the post office for a look round our eyes 👀 could not miss the cold counter displaying a good selection of cakes and pastries 🥮 We bought a couple of the red pepper and pesto quiches 🤪 to take away with us for a picnic lunch and all I can say is SIMPLE THE BEST WE HAVE EVER TASTED 👌🥇 So returned the next day for more to take for our journey home . All in all this business deserves to do well as you only ever get out what you put in and they definitely put in to it in every way . We look forward to our return to the Island and the rightfully called 1st Class food not forgetting the connecting post office😉👌

I contacted a cafe before my visit and asked if I could reserve a table and explained that I was bringing mymother-in-law who is 99. I told them that I had chosen it because it was close to the car park and they served crab which she loves. When we arrived, there were signs up in the cafe saying no crab today but they had kept some (a lot!) for us. How is that for service! And the crab sandwiches were excellent!

We saw a major incident. The lovely waitress was taking two plates of food to a table and the dog at the table wrapped its lead around the legs of the lady and tripped the lady she fell to the floor and the plates went too. What drama! We hope she is ok and recovering

Fantastic visit to 1st Class Food. Would not go anywhere else. Such lovely homemade produce and an extensive range of options for gluten free or dietary requirements. They would even go the extra mile if you tell them something you can not eat. They did for my husband, making sure there was no dairy in the fresh made food we requested. Been a few times and it is clear they have returning customers which speaks volumes. I did not mind the short wait because I knew my food would be fresh and tasty. Much rather wait then be disappointed with bought in cakes. Also found out this visit that they do takeaway! Was perfect for pur little picnic and some food to take back for our evening meal at our self catering accomodation. Plus the adjoining shop seems to sell everything you need! Got my toilet rolls, tea, newspaper and tin of beans! What an amazing little place.
