A wet early Friday afternoon in Holt it had to be fish & chips.
Eric's was the perfect place. Decent service, a good menu with some interesting other options...(deep-fried jam-sandwich!) 😃

Very busy and they admitted being a bit short staffed but we didn't mind! Friendly and fresh feel sitting in. Food was good. Scampi good. Chili cod bites with black garlic mayo good. Curry sauce lovely. Thanks for the deep fried Mars bar - it was worth the extra wait, my son said....!

Vegan lemon battered prawns were so nice! Chips were a bit disappointing as they weren’t as good as Eric’s in Thornham. Music was a bit intense and could have done with being a bit ambient but I was super delighted to see the vegan option on the menu!
Ordered on line for take out - they were freshly cooked and ready at the pre-order time. Found a nice spot just of town to eat them - they were delicious and the fish was lovely and white and the batter crisp. Well done 👏
Ordered click and collect. It was very nicely cooked and was ready exactly as booked. Medium cod and haddock with chips. Cooked in beef dripping.
We had a take away from here and were amazed and very happy that they had vegan options. The food was really nice especially the chips

Fabulous food, not one fish bone, was found out of the four meals. Great value for money with excellent service. However, I found it a bit noisy.
Superb fish and chips! Very pleased that we stumbled across this place having found 2 other chippies closed for the bank holiday. I’d not heard great things about fish and chips around here, but these were a fine example, and the staff were super friendly too. Great stuff.
