Gorgeous meal on a Sunday evening. The website said close at 8pm but I called ahead and we were welcomed to come along at 7.30-7.45. The restaurant was buzzing and we enjoyed a really relaxed 2 course meal. Our vegan person was really well catered for, the food was delicious and service really friendly.
Big fan! Returning customer! I came to try the salad and mocktails today. I was so so impressed. The salad was LOADED and I asked for a few changes which were catered to without making me feel a type of way. I LOVE solo dining and would recommend this place for solo, dates, family and even just for dessert because these churros SLAPPED! I don’t like cinnamon sugar so the photo is without cinnamon sugar. The extra guacamole is worth it too. Look at the size of that portion. And the chips are SO GOOD here! Crispy and salty and delicious.
Special shout out to Nat who showed me to my seat and was lovely on arrival SUCH a warm welcome and to Amber who was THE best waitress. Super attentive and just had the nicest temperament. Will 100% be back!
Great chicken wings, ribs, n pulled pork. The sharing meat tray was just the right amount for 2...Rioja was fine. Cocktails were nice and strong. Great service and atmosphere 👌🏾
Came here for the first time last night…the food was amazing and the portions were huge…. Everything from the starters to the mains were spot on. The staff were really good and friendly too .. I had to take a doggy bag home as the portions were that big 😂
Tried Mexicali for the first time last week and do not know why we haven't been before! Such good food and good vibes! Will definitely be back for drinks as the cocktail menu looked amazing! I also won a competition for a bottle from them which was very cool!

We’ve found a great one here. The service was quick, the food was top notch. The venue was brilliant.
Will be coming back to sample the menu more!
Had a lovely meal here. Don't be put off if it looks empty when you walk in, the main restaurant is upstairs. Nice relaxed atmosphere, good food. Had veggie tacos, which were delicious, and kids were well catered for too. (I think some kids meals are free during the holidays, so I was pleasantly surprised by the cost, also.)

Beef brisket, Mac N' Cheese burrito from the specials board was a taste sensation.
The portions are big but most importantly absolutely amazing, yummy yummy yummy fill your tummy at this Mexicana delight.
THE place it town for vegan junk - there are less junky options … if you can avoid the temptations… I certainly couldn’t! Had the vegan pit burger (mock BBQ pulled pork, beef patty, cheese, bacon, chicken) and couldn’t get it in my mouth 🍔 The wait staff kindly helped my partner find an option that worked for his mushroom allergy by combing thru the mock meat ingredients. Can’t recommend this place more!
SO IMPRESSED!!! Amazing vibe and atmosphere with the food to match. Wish we’d got here earlier as I’d like to have had the time and stomach capacity to try something from all three courses.
Only had mains, but made up for it … one of the tastiest burgers I’ve had in a long time. The service was a delight too, Highly recommended 👌🏼
We hadn't booked and there were 11 of us - all vegan! Separate vegan menu with tonnes of choice. The no chicken loaded fries were amazing - I swapped fries for tots. The milkshakes looked good and the burritos and loaded nachos looked amazing too. Highly recommend for vegans!
We had a quick night out and found ourselves hungry but pressed for time. Luckily, we stumbled upon this amazing Mexican restaurant that provided us with a fantastic dining experience.. . The staff was not only efficient but also incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome right from the moment we walked in. Every dish was beautiful. The flavors were bold and authentic, and I must admit, it was the best Mexican cuisine I have ever tasted in Yorkshire.We are definitely planning to return to this restaurant again in the future. Highly recommended! ❤️

A group of us came on Saturday for birthday celebrations and the food was delicious. They lost a star because the prices online were slightly lower than the restaurant which caused confusion on the bill but apart from that great service and food.
Again, Mexicali did not disappoint. Lovely staff, as always, good food, awesome drinks, and great service!
