Just called in for a drink after a walk round Hepworth and Hade Edge. Had a look at the menu and the food looked lovely and great value for money especially with the deals like steak night on Wednesday 35 quid for 2 with a bottle of house wine . Will be trying the Sunday roast soon 2 courses for £18 . Finally got round to trying the Sunday roast and took advantage of the two course for 18 quid! I got the prawn cocktail starter which was decent but the star of the show was the roast beef lunch which was lovely and plentiful. My girlfriend got the fish and chips which she said was brilliant and again big portions ! She finished off with the lemon tart ... Both 2 course meals for £36 which is an absolute bargain! Place was almost empty which for the life of me I can't understand cos the food is top notch for the price ! Wednesdays is steak night and Fridays fish and Chips 2 for £20 ! Good possibility we will be back on Friday...
My family and I went to the White Horse for a birthday meal, the staff were friendly and welcoming. The location was picture perfect in a quiet but beautiful place, where we all enjoyed ourselves. I had the Steak & Ale Suet Pie with chips and mushy peas, it was delicious and very filling. I would recommend this establishment for anyone wanting a peaceful meal. I didn't stay in any of the rooms, so I can't rate them.
It was very quiet when we called on a Sunday evening. I don't think they do food on a Sunday night
We were warming greeted by the young man behind the bar and the other customers, which was lovely.
We must call for dinner sometime !
Went here for a meal. Lovely little pub, great food and friendly atmosphere. Log fire was great, too. Thanks for a lovely afternoon. Would visit again.
Excellent food from the new menu! Well worth calling in for a nice pint and some grub! Nachos and Sunday dinner were fantastic! Will be back!
Went for Sunday lunch and it was average at best. £15 for a one course average Sunday lunch is, in my books, not the best value for money. Sorry, I'm sure many people will enjoy it but unfortunately I will be trying elsewhere. Still might call in for a beer now and then and the service was excellent 👍
Lovely country pub good food, lovely fire and great staff. Last of the summer wine was filmed here.
We called at the White Horse yesterday for tea. Great little pub with very good food and drink. Our party had a combination of pies and burgers, all of which we enjoyed.... I can especially recommend the Mexican burger 😊
Also great to see some local beers on tap 🍺👍
A quiet friendly pub. A nice selection of pub classic meals. Great value food and friendly staff.
Well worth a visit!
Lovely pub in a nice location in Jackson Bridge. We called in for a Friday lunch and ordered the Steak and Ale Suet pudding and a Prawn and Marie Rose sandwich. Food was great! Tasty and fresh, nicely served and a good price. Staff were friendly and efficient - this pub deserves to be busier! Five stars well earned!
I went for lunch after a walk in the local area. A good selection of hand pulled ale and a good lunch menu. Worth a visit for any fan of Last of the summer wine, which was used often and above the pub is Norman Cleggs, and Howard and Pearls house.
Food good but no Soup please bring back the soup, it's simple, it's cheap, and profit marine is so high....
Great food, wood fire, very cosy. Friendly service.
We called in today (bank holiday Monday) and at first were disappointed with the reduced food menu (probably our fault for not checking) but all found something to order that we liked.
The food when it arrived was superb. All freshly cooked to order and delicious.
Service was excellent (although we were the only dining guests I think) but we really couldn't fault anything. Very friendly welcome too.
A little way out of town but worth the visit. Awesome service, nice people.
