Stopped off for a drink and decided to eat once in there, we was not disappointed, large portions and good home cooked food, the mussels were to die for, will definitely have a drive out again to visit
Good food traditionally cooked, great value for money, huge portion sizes. But they offer smaller portion or sharing plates too. Really good customer service, but the restaurant area was not heated and the seat was uncomfortable, so we didn't stay longer than the meal.

A deceptive gem! The pub is pretty standard but the food if first class. Saw the reviews and thought we would give it a go, was not disappointed! There is a lot of competition in the area which is great, I would highly recommend this pub and will definitely visit again.
We only stopped for a drink and comfort break . The food on show looked very good Sunday lunch and we will definitely try it next time we are passing
Great tea time meal this Thursday at 6:30. Steak and Ale Pie was the best and the chips are incredible. Sponge pudding and custard to finish - what more could I ask for. Service was fantastic.
Perfect if you want a quiet out of the way, no frills, no TV, restaurant that does homemade food. Service a little slow but is made up by the tasty food. They even do a few puddings with custard. I had 'Jam Roly Poly', was lovely and reminded me of school days. Will definitely visit again.
A great country pub serving gorgeous homemade food. Very friendly staff who looked after us. We've put this pub on our 'Drive out for Sunday lunch' list.
