I love Lou & Joe's, whether it's a collection or eating in its always a good consistent experience. I have been frequenting for about 3 years, and the biggest issue I've ever had was 1 time they forgot a dip. That's it. It really is worth going. I would say it's a bit pricey, but in all honesty, everything is now, and at least you're guaranteed great food and actually get filled up. The buffalo loaded fries are a favourite of mine, and nowadays, I usually go for one of the special burgers to mix it up, too. Great service every time, great atmosphere. There's not a lot more i can say.
Well, what a brilliant surprise of great atmosphere, fantastic service, blooming fast and tasty food and such kindness. Not from the area and staying for a birthday 🥰 last minute booking but please plan ahead as was busy on a week night. Service was fast but the wait staff were excellent at making you feel welcome.
We had a boss burger and a mccukky .. probably spelt wrong... and wings... all yummy and well priced.
I had a badge showing my birthday and as a complete surprise was served a brownie and ice cream ...with a sparkler WOW... how kind and thoughtful was that. Thank you guys for a great night. Love this place.
Great indie burger place! Big menu with some unique combinations and the option to make all of the burgers vegetarian (I can recommend the veggie pattie they use). Portions are sensible and everything is really flavoursome and balanced. Staff were friendly and attentive and made us feel very welcome. Perfect for a treat when visiting Holmfirth - believe the hype!
Ordered last minute after spending the morning planting trees in the rain. Lovely staff, excellent food. Only small qualm was size of the soft drinks are small for £3.50 - don’t even think it was a can size. Small thin glass with a LOT of ice. Would definitely return.

Best burger place we've ever been to by far! The food is delicious with lots of options.. many drinks to choose from and they even serve ale's which is a huge bonus for us especially at those prices.
Fantastic value for money! Tired of paying £30 for a restaurant burger.. go here it's far better.

Visited on a Wednesday Lunchtime, saw the local farmer delivering the meat straight from the tractor which was good to see. We ordered the Mother Clucka and Old School burger and halved them, the chicken burger especially is insane taste and texture wise. The sides of chicken poppers are also highly recommended. I tried their In house larger which was very refreshing, they even do their own coffee beans which you can buy. I also tried a milkshake and sticky toffee pudding with ice cream, just incredible. We went away absolutely stuffed and we are big eaters. Bill came to £61 which is expensive but I felt like the quality and portion size were on par with the price. Excellent service too, very friendly staff who were more than happy to discuss items on the menu. Will visit again. Hope they keep doing what they’re doing. We're regular visitors to Lou and Joe's, and try to make it across every few weeks.
When we found out via Instagram that they had added some new menu items and also switched chicken thighs for breasts we couldn't wait to get back in there and check them out.
Once again we were not disappointed - fantastic burgers - great to see The Oklaholmie make it permanently onto the menu - and the poppers are a welcome replacement to the wings.
Oscar served us today - and just like with everyone else we are always welcomed with a warm smile and "good vibes" - I even have the hoodie that I'm too scared to wear in case I drop food down it 🤣

Absolutely loved our visit to Lou and Joe's (so much so that we visited a second time a couple of days later, something I'm normally really against when exploring somewhere new!).
Food is delicious, staff are friendly & welcoming, and price is more than reasonable for what you get. It's dog friendly (excellent for us, as we were travelling with our pup!), and they offer a great selection of beer.
Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed, tasty spot for dinner.
The Phat Boi chicken burger is so incredibly delicious. Onion rings are gorgeous. Top notch food with friendly service.
Very atmospheric restaurant, with very polite friendly staff, it's clear to see they take pride in their customer services.

Another top draw visit with great service and delicious food.
This time was a brunch visit.
I had the Morning Glory burger which was superb. Amazing flavours from the sauce and meats but none were overpowering. Really good bun which was soft but nicely toasted.
The Full Monty tater tots were incredible!
Loads of chorizo chunks and more great flavours. Nice big portion too.
Can't recommend this place enough. Burgers for all moods! And amazing sides to boot.
NEXT VISIT
Previous visits have provided superb grub but the Phat Boi I had this time around was elite level.
Sauces were absolutely bangin and the chicken was beautifully crisp.
Regretting that I didn't double up!
I instead opted for pulled chicken poppers which were tasty but sadly were not 'pulled' chicken which needs correcting on the menu!
The coleslaw and sweet potato fries were fantastic and like the poppers were plentiful in terms of portion.
The sweet and sticky sauce was great for dipping but I feel that charging £1.50 is bit naff. However I was more bothered that I was charged for adding pickles to my burger. When ordering as much as I did I think they could have chucked some pickles in for free really...
As always the staff were delightful and it's a brilliant place to eat.
I'm sure I'll be back for a bigger Phat Boi!
Loved our meal here. We visited with a family of 12. The burgers were amazing, the service was exceptional and we even got Christmas crackers. The Holme brew is one of the best beers I've tasted. Will definitely be returning, the kids said so 😁
